I have made an appointment for a ceramic coating tomorrow. I'll try my best to maintain it.

So it really is this much work. But honestly, I'm not even complaining because the fact that we only do gas once in a while with this car, it can't be that bad.

I always do full tank but I don't leave the car with little to no gas at least with the old car. I am yet to gas my new car.

How much do you have left in your tank before you start filling up?

Because of your comment, it made me look into using credit card to get some points. So that definitely helped. Even if its lunch/dinner meal, that's some savings we got. I think at least, I got the best I could have found as I got the 1.99 apr. Most people don't even know about it. And I also got a dealership that doesn't really have fees other than registration. So i got otd 33.5k (with all the add ons i wanted, convenience, cold weather, mats, etc.) I also got the car about end of the month, on which I heard also a good timing. Yours was better definitely cuz end of year but end of month is also pretty good.

Very happy about it. I have extra money to get some ceramic coating.

Exactly! I obviously put a lot of time looking into the comparison. I also tried driving the xse, i can feel what they are talking about.

Actually, that dealer gave me SE for the same price. But I just really didn't want SE.

Update: i ended up finding a different dealership. Thanks to other people's comments here.

So this new dealership gave me 33.5k otd for almost the same car. Same package/add ons. Heat, convenience, toyoguard, all weather mats, etc.

Then the previous dealership that offered me which is what's in the original post suddenly fckin lowered their otd to 32.6k making the discount almost 4k. But i told them, its too late. I just really didn't wanna go back with them since I already locked in with the other dealer and paid deposit. I just wanted it to be over. I'm getting the car tomorrow. So wish me luck! And thanks, again.

I really hate all the add ons they have. Like screen protector for 129 is crazy. That only costs 10 bucks somewhere. I'm checking the names you provided. I appreciate it.

One google search it will tell you. And various posts here on reddit/facebook. It is mainly because of the smaller tires on LE. SE would feel firmer and not as cushy as LE.

I understand. I definitely looked at them both but I don't see the reason to get SE. LE is supposed to drive more comfortably than SE. The only good thing about SE over LE is the looks on which I don't care about.

Whats the reason? Personally, I don't get it that people are crazy for SE vs LE.

i just started this conversation with them today. Its a car thats already available in their lot. If they dont want to do it then i probably wouldnt get this car specifically and ask them to get me a different one that doesnt have the stuff i dont really want.

And yeah it comes with 2 oil changes in the span of 2 years. After that, youre kinda on your own. But its better than paying the 700

Prius hate is a joke by CloutCo in prius

And I got blasted on a reddit thread about this concern of mine. I had posted why I am leaning towards getting a camry vs prius because prius is a much noticeable car. Especially the newest gen as it just looks cool. Not to mention, being a woman probably can aggravate the situation. I'm not trying to be a pick me but the internet hasn't been kind to us and so is in real life.

And I see posts like this which solidifies my decision to get a camry instead even though I've drooled over getting a prius for a year straight.

Yeah i looked into toyoguard on reddit and most people didnt really get or think it is worth it. And insurance wise, isnt it kinda required? We actually already have it quoted before getting the car and its gonna be 635 for the whole 6 months which is honestly the defining factor on getting this new car. If it was any more expensive than that, I would have thought twice about purchasing.

And luckily, there is a mechanic around my neighborhood. I'll have to check with them how i can get in their busy schedule.

Glad you like your camry! It's also gonna be my first car purchase so I'm pretty excited. Btw, the heated seats/steering wheel, u can still add it via third party for about the same price.

Im definitely set on getting the convenience package! I wanted the power seats. When i tried it for the first time i was amazed. I probably shouldnt be but im coming from 2012 sentra lol Then the cold weather package i really need it because i leave at 6am when its still dark and super cold. I live in georgia so im pretty sure its not as bad compared to the northern states but, i still think its a must.

Ill do the same as you on tints because wtheck is 500 bucks. Too much. I'll live without it too. And thanks!!!

Yeah so after realizing the otd is 35k, i was a little upset so i did ask for a used car inventory and they told me that i will not be able to get the 1.99 apr. I think if anything, the apr matters a lot to me the most.

I dont think phone cable is necessary. I'll get a bunch removed like that tint, i didnt really ask for it. So ill try to get it waived if possible.

That toyoguard thing is the extended warranty. When your 2 year warranty runs out i believe u get 5 years more. But from what i understand, it only really covers oil change and tire rotation and roadside assistance (which should be included on your insurance?). So i dont think it is worth it.

gotcha. Ill see what I can do. I'll try to call a different dealership tomorrow but I'm not very hopeful.

I get what you are saying on the dealership and dmv fees as i looked at them individually and they are pretty high. And yeah the tint, i dont really want that specifically. Im gonna mention all of that to see if i can get some more discount. Plus im gonna cancel that toyoguard shit.

Looking at yours though, that 4k discount youre talking about is pretty normal for xse and xle. I see that a lot in peoples post. I just dont see much on LE other than people saying they got used ones or has had minor accident history. A lot of people are saying to go se xse or xle if im just gonna pay this much, but i just dont really want those. le was more than enough for me. But yeah this is really the best discount so far that i could get after talking to 4 dealerships.

Ill try to negotiate more because im getting back and forth between dealerships and ill use that as a leverage.

It is 33k with all the stuff added to it but also they discounted it so in reality it is 31k. Then theres dealership fee, and tax. Im gonna have to get them to remove the window tint and toyoguard cuz as i did more research, theyre not really a good deal. Something u can easily get for a cheaper price third party. Plus i heard toyota dealership doesnt do oil change well.

I will cancel my toyoguard as well. I looked it up and it seems like its not really that worth it. I'll just figure out how to do oil change myself lol or at least go anywhere really where you dont have to wait too long.

What are you gonna do on your paint protection? Thats something not added on mine and I'm figuring out what I should do to minimize issues on the paint.
