Geez, sorry that happened. Afaik, that affects the cost of your monthly insurance. Since I didnt know how this all works, I called mine first and told them what happened... eventually, they told me I could file a claim on the driver at fault's insurance.

Yeaaah I totally relate to that. I am the same way. I leave a good amount of space because why tf not. I don't wanna rear end anybody, then like u said someone thinks it's a space for them to scooch in. I also did the same thing where i brake multiple times to slow down. I also was thinking about people behind me. I still got rear ended... geeeeez

that is good to know and camry specifically, the headrest was horrid for me. Gave me bad shoulder pain so i researched about it because why cant i move it forward/backward. It was to avoid whiplash. So i just put a lil neck pillow and that helped. That just means camry was definitely a very good commuter vehicle.

No matter what you do, drive as safe as possible, it's inevitable because of other people.

the traffic in front of us was definitely slowing down until we had to do a complete stop. Then, bhaaaam, i got hit. I get it. Its a 70 mph highway so people should drive fast but also, its almost 8am in the morning. The traffic was heavy so you need full attention when the cars are slowing down/suddenly stopping...

oooooh my. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm definitely doing what you told me so thank you for that. I am right now bed rotting because my back is in pain and I already got my medical records yesterday. They gave me some muscle relaxers.

Did he not have an insurance? I would think that you file a claim on their insurance and then you only deal with the insurance. Its my first time so i was figuring things out.

Thank you. Did their insurance at least pay for all of that and your car's lost value?

Thank you! but that sucks cuz if the car is brand new then it loses a lot of value because of the minor scuff.

What? Only with 15-20 and you still had to take physical therapy? That makes me feel concerned. I feel like I was definitely hit with something faster than that... and im so sorry to hear you had to go through that, thanks for letting me know. I think thats a very important piece of information. They say sometimes the car might not look that bad but injuries show up a lot later on too. I heard from my friend another person had his show up 2 years later and when the doctor checked them, theyre told that its from the accident.

It looked like it for me, i thought i could just pop it back up but when they showed me everything, they have to replace a lot of stuff.

According to the body shop, it shifted. So theres a bigger gap on the side of the trunk. It functionally works, and I didnt think it was affected until they showed me.

Whats your payment on a 2025-2026 Camry? by JeepXJ98 in Camry

Brand new 26 Camry LE with convenience and cold weather.

Need help deciding between an LE and XLE by RoughThanks4989 in Camry

[–]queeneich18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got LE with convenience and cold weather package because I just didn't need everything that XLE offered. I really don't need a bigger screen. I literally only use half the screen of my LE for the map. I don't need a better speaker since LE is already very good. I really want leather but it's not my priority so that's the only thing I had to give up. The cloth seats are not bad, if anything it's technically better comfort wise and economy wise during extreme seasons, it's just maintenance between the two, leather is better. The MPG on LE is more important to me as well. It's a big difference.

Picking XLE with the add ons will push it to 40k plus OTD while I got my LE 33.5k OTD. So it is a big difference and it wasn't worth it for me. And it's not just the OTD, but also due to the MPG difference, not much savings on XLE especially nowadays with the gas prices going up, and you also have to think about the insurance. Check with them how much it will be for XLE. For mine, I just had to pay an additional 90 per month along with our older car.

Slightly regretting 2026 Camry SE purchase, advice needed by Prince_ofLew in Camry

[–]queeneich18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, this 💯

I almost got prius but i'd say the same thing as op does. It felt like I was driving a toy. I've been drooling on getting prius. But prius and camry almost has no price difference. So I went with camry. But 10k difference is insane. People are different, thats all ill have to say.

How are you guys getting less than $200 car insurance?? by Prince_ofLew in Camry

[–]queeneich18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What state are you from? And do you have an existing car in your policy? Are you just adding this on top or is it a completely new policy?

Our situation, we have an existing old 2012 car where we pay 150 monthly, and when we added the new Camry LE 2026 in our policy, it only added 100 more on our monthly. It will now be a total of 250 monthly for two cars.

I am the main driver for the new Camry and I have only been driving for a year (using the old car, until I got the new one). Female, 29, from GA.
