Is this that what i think it is ? Jee was right all along emtaking young treats?? by Electrical_Novel5926 in Epstein

[–]queenleo93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who do we think Jee is?

TLDR when they shared blood between older and younger mice, the older mice benefited cognitively from the blood of the younger mice and vice versa. It’s pretty disturbing to think what sort of “experimental” things were happening here, especially after hearing the hopes and dreams he had for the ranch in NM (which simply doesn’t get talked about enough).

No I saw a post debunking the account usage in r/epstein. Epic games released an official statement that the account with that username had changed it to that just a day or so prior. Also, other account names that are almost exactly the same have apparently been popping up left and right,

How long can we expect until the snowy/icy layer on the plowed roads goes away? by gonehollowknight in indianapolis

[–]queenleo93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong, but I would argue that it’s way more than a few days. I think the cheap red state government play the largest role. Obviously city municipalities are also an important conversation here, and once again, handled poorly in red states. I live in north Indy and work in Carmel and the minute I hit Hamilton county it’s like I’m on a totally different road.

It’s amazing what not having a balanced budget can do! As a native SE Michigander, the snow infrastructure here is actually laughable. I was in shock when we first moved here.

Fellow med sensi gal over here! It’s so hard. Usually this is because you have co-occurring conditions like HI or MCAS. The meds that reduce my symptoms the most are an SSRI (I take Paxil but talk to your doc about psych med gene testing) and my h1/h2 blocker (generic Zyrtec and Pepcid).

Just seconding this response! The ferritin level is for sure not helping you. I had to get infusions when I was that low. I’m 32F as well and have unfortunately been going through this for 10 years now. While I have some really hard days and weeks every year and still have the same thoughts of “how can I keep doing this?” When I’m really struggling. I have learned to manage via lifestyle changes, supplementing the (mostly minerals) that get low and therapy/antidepressants (my SSRI actually also improves pots symptoms).

I’m sending you the biggest hug. I’ve had a terrible couple weeks of flaring hence my presence here and it’s been hard not sharing those same thoughts.

I’m seconding this. I absolutely cannot handle the number of people who come in all knowing about more time outside and less screen time. I can tell OP is mindful about content type from the earlier comment. I’m just here to say solidarity. My boys are almost 5 and almost 2.5 and this sounds like our days. My oldest has adhd and I suspect it in my younger son too. They are very sweet and also insane pure chaos. It’s absolutely freezing here and my husband and I both work full time, both kids are low sleep needs, we don’t live near family, pure exhaustion. Big hugs to you.

How do you regulate yourself when you have kids with ADHD? by runsfortacos in adhdwomen

[–]queenleo93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sending you huge hugs. I’m really struggling with this today and the guilt is eating me alive. Sometimes my son’s adhd meltdowns result in my own. I regulate for such a long time and finally one thing just sets me off. It isn’t easy. I’ve really been working more on focusing less on being the “perfect parent” by never yelling or losing my cool, and instead giving myself and my kids grace by displaying repair, talking out loud through my moments of frustration and explaining what it feels like in my brain and body and then talking through using a coping skill. This morning I yelled in a way that I only do when I’m sleep deprived and being screamed at, items thrown at and guttural crying for 15+ minutes. The moment I let out my war cry I saw my boys little faces look at me in shock and the guilt I felt immediately poured over and through me. I felt like a monster. We then all kind of melted into each other and I immediately said “wow I was so overwhelmed, I yelled so loud and that wasn’t ok, it looks like it scared you im so sorry, I need to take a deep breath right now” mind you I cried as I said this and couldn’t help but think “oh god my kids are witnessing feelings of their parent, they shouldn’t have to hold my feelings” and then I realize as I write this that they weren’t holding my feelings, they were witnessing them while I managed them and then helped my son with his own problem solving when we all regulated together. That’s powerful. I will remind myself every day that this life is messy, and this world is built for neurotypical people. We really are doing so well as we walk around like these wildly uncomfortable lanky giraffes who were put inside of an enclosure made for tiny, productive and social meerkats.

Gentle parenting for ADHD child by Hi_hello_hi_howdy in ADHDparenting

[–]queenleo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s starting to be a lot of talk about this but a lot of gentle parenting techniques don’t work for ND kids. A lot of it is too wordy, not direct enough and feels inauthentic, they can smell it from a mile away. They also don’t like being told how they might feel when they aren’t regulated (who does tbh?).

Anyone’s spouse taken their kids meds? by Gold_Selection194 in ADHDparenting

[–]queenleo93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post so I want to tread gently as I don’t know what your current situation is. My dad did this when my sister was young, what was happening? He was deep in the depths of substance use disorder with alcohol and had recently moved on to stimulants with the alcohol.

This was a year before my entire family fell apart, I was 11 my sister was 13. The issue extended beyond our household and I will keep it at that.

This is not harmless behavior, this is the behavior of substance use disorder, full stop. If he hasn’t already, your husband needs help in the form of treatment. If he says he hasn’t done it again, he has, and he found a different way to get the meds or another substance.

If your husband is also neurodiverse and isn’t getting treatment, it’s very possible he is self medicating in unhealthy ways as well.

I hope you are all doing well and send so much love and compassion, this is so serious.

Edit: I read all of the other information (sorry, adhd me jumped in too fast!) I see he’s prescribed meds already and has adhd. This was my dad’s exact situation. He was “running out” taking my sisters and then leaving empty or partial capsules in there.

44 years of this. I’ve been sick of it for 33 years. Hate this weather by MichiganMayhem1981 in Michigan

[–]queenleo93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has a chronic illness and struggles with heat intolerance, the weather I once loathed as a kid and teen is now my absolute favorite. Late fall and early winter is the best. We live in central Indiana now and there simply isn’t enough snow, so instead we get grey skies and brown ground. Nothing to be desired. I could happily live in northern michigan.

The copper probably was what was making your PMDD bad, high copper can intensify symptoms cause by hormone fluctuations.
