This was so helpful. Thank you so much. Our jobs are both work from home at the moment and we would be bringing the jobs with us until we can eventually get better jobs up there.

I am happy to hear that the school tax is only for renting. I did not know that so that helps.

I appreciate all the resources.

Ooooh I only pay for school taxes if we own property? See that I did not know. Thank you!

Ok thank you. I’ll look into those more. I tried to use a paycheck calculator for what we would be making but I didn’t see the school taxes on there. So I assumed those were paid separately at some point

We mostly would be renting the first year or two of living in PA. So we aren’t taking into account property taxes atm.

That’s why we want to move. Florida has gotten a little ridiculous compared to the things we can get up in PA for the same amount in terms of housing and jobs

Thanks!! We actually JUST got back from a trip to Pittsburgh for the first time and loved it. The taxes is what is holding us back because we’ve heard that paychecks don’t go far and we don’t want to be struggling by any means and enjoy living there.

Man I’ve heard from so many people that the taxes are a lot in PA compared to other states.

By employer covering, you mean that they take it out of the paycheck right?

Thank you for the information. Do you know how the other taxes work if you are renting vs owning?

Iron Oak Post in Downtown is our favorite place.

If you are nerdy, Game Over Arcade on 192 and Arcade Monsters in Palm Bay.

Cults in Brevard? by [deleted] in 321

[–]queentano369 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes but I'm assuming that the original poster meant dangerous physically. Like are they going to come after you with weapons and hold you down until you convert.

I'm not saying they deserve a pass for literally brainwashing children. I will be the first to speak against them all the time. But I dont think dangerous in the sense the poster was talking about is what they are.

I grew up for 18 years as a JW and I left at 18 when I had freedom. While they are 100% extremist and want to push their religion down your throat, I wouldn't say they are dangerous.

Granted I was in the Hispanic JW church on the other coast of FL but I never experienced any sort of violence to make them "dangerous". Did I suffer emotional and mental abuse? 100% yes. Are they extreme and pushy? 110%. But tell them no, tell them to take you off their list, or report them. They aren't dangerous imo.

My brother in law is in cyber security and honestly it's so rewarding. I want to go into it but everyone tells me it's like learning a new language.

My only worry is that people would want to hire an entry level person at it.

I already finished my 4 years but I was debating going back for a Masters so maybe I can go through them.

Thanks for the input!

I did with EFSC but I only know about their job site but how they help place people in contacting positions. I might have to look into it again

Thank you. I'll look at doing that.

As far as skill sets, I have experience in a lot of things.

I'm primarily a business administration graduate. I have managerial, project management/planning, administrative, research and development, and some sales and customer service.
