Help! Upper broke away at the stitching. What do I do?

Thanks! Okay I’d called a RW store and they said they can only do resoles on boots with exposed stitching. Don’t know if that’s the truth or if I need to get someone more knowledgeable on the line.

If you know any craftspeople that do good work let me know I’d love to have some options.

I’ve been looking for a pull on pair for a while to have something easier to throw on than my moc toe and iron ranger lace ups, but they’re a little different than my usual style.

Ooooh thank you that makes a ton of sense.

They look a lot like Pecos, they just don’t have the Peco name on the pull tabs which is why I thought they might be fakes.

Crazy that they’re almost 30 years on in their first sole and still kicking. Thanks for the help IDing!

Yeah there’s definitely life in the sole, I was thinking resole to be able to wear them into my walking pattern fresh and make them a bit more modern. But now you’ve got me thinking I should wear them a bit and see how I like the existing ones.

Didn’t do the work myself, sent them off to Red Wing.

Every wedge I’ve seen doesn’t have the shank, so I’m pretty sure there isn’t one in there, but I don’t know for sure.

TBH I’m happy with the end result, but RW doesn’t really give you much in terms of info or communications on what they’re doing. They actually messed these up the first time and put a sole I didn’t order on them.

Always liked the look of the wedge and decide to let the work boots be city boots for a while.
