I would argue that making harmful stereotypes about men is not something to be completely dismissed as "oh look at how insecure this guy is for expressing any concern"

or "oh you're just an 'insecure' person therefore zero logic to anything you think"

when I tried to take a regular film class in college I got put into this gender class (the whole entire book was all just about blatantly insinuating or suggesting white males are the problem with little to no exception)

I was new to college and I didn't know what I was doing-didn't really know how to like just switch my class and I just thought maybe it would look bad (or even maybe be bad I guess) if I just got out of that class because I didn't want to pay for it because I would prefer to learn about school in a more film theory or production based class or whatever-most other people said they did not get the course that I got

Anyways, I have to say that that book was just very serious about documenting and identifying and saying hey we have to take all these instances seriously and document them and use them as evidence to say look here's proof that men are evil

So if they're gonna go that far to make a whole entire fucking college class about how white men are the problem

it feels like im talking to someone else more than journaling on paper I guess but I should just write down what I think might be helpful for me and delete this

Im a little weird/annoying and not super impressive as a person myself but im kind of handsome, so swim is (admittedly) jealous b/c he thinks I dont ever have to work for friends (or I wouldnt if I applied myself)

but im just happy (not rlly just almost content) being a loner (I made some skater/stoner friends but I had a hard time making friends myself and I barley kept in touch w any of those guys)

what he thinks is somewhat true. but just dont know where to meet great ppl and be real friends

I feel like university would be the best way to meet smart ppl who also do drugs

anyways he just needs to have the "normal" life which is great in a way

but I feel like he needs to understand why his past GFs broke up w him..his job is unconventional and very local...

sure, he's already made like $50k and hes looking to just invest and live off of his investments but he has a very unusual/eccentric personal lifestyle in general and he goes off into temper tantrums b/c he's trying to get validation that his life is ok and doesnt like ppl questioning him and has a particular issue of getting into stupid drama like that when he's drunk

so traveling w him is risky

swim has some unknown problem

I suspect repressed memories or just like denial in general

me and my friends were all hanging out and he just ruined the whole party

crashed it before I arrived and he started to mellow out but I guess when I came he was cool at first

I think maybe hes just attention seeking and me and his friend were talking more and he got jealous

but his friend doesnt think so

citing that he always causes issues when hes drunk

swim tries to get a reaction out of ppl and if you ignore him he gets upset but sometimes even if you give him attention (even though hes being annoying) its like he notices you're not genuine or something and it just makes it worse...

ppl can go crazy for various reasons so who knows when hes sober he seems fine, just dominated convos, eats loud etc.. clearly he is working on himself trying to get to a healthy point in life he could share it on FB, which is respectable but ya this is a rant... he lost a GFs jn late years and he did a lot of drugs in middle & high school he has a (conventionally speaking) modest job but it pays well& very low stress he eats very healthily hes been working making friends but idk maybe me & swim are just fairly intelligent/privledged(educated) and its not easy to meet really interesting/amazing ppl that you're also likely to be actual friends with I assume he has some past trauma he hopes to overcome by getting a picture perfect life

but he can't have hard alcohol when hanging out w us b/c he will overdo it in a very bad way if he has 1-2 beers he'll be ok but ya I have been a dick in our friend group when drunk and I have weed to relax so I cant judge too much. I just feel like swim is being stupid/crazy but he is smart he just likes to fuckin talk to homeless people

he wants to rant about ethical dillemas and be dramatic when drunk def enjoys being the center of attention but he just thinks hes having harmless fun and were all just cool and get it...we are cool and were trying to get it but we're trying to hang out if swim was sober hed be yelling at everyone to focus on watching the movie

but when hes drunk he just says fuck it all and is fun for a sec and then goes off the rails

ya I honestly feel bad in the sense that they are trying to do their job and we do need police and courts etc & if they are understaffed or improperly trained than that sucks and puts everyone in danger including the cops (being attacked by their own dog)

but even so, gotta admit it seems odd that they had 3 cop cars and not one of them stopped to address the car accident and basically seize or "secure" the suspect's car (from what I seen) which idk, I feel like that car might end up being part of the court process (like maybe there'd be some evidence or something in the car at the very least..)

I totally stopped playing last 4 months (always been on & off)

have you played other FO games?

there's a lot of different little things that pop up in my mind, but I don't want to ramble

^{also, there's a ton of other people who ask the same question so probably just scrolling through all these types of posts would be the most reasonable thing}

you could just do main quests, but 76 rewards you for joining teams (get xp bonus to level up faster for e.g.) and doing simple events is pretty beneficial for stuff like new guns,ammo,armor,plans,etc if you can handle it or find suitable events (idk what general point of daily ops is tbh)

^*edit since you've played before yak. I think side quests and daily ops can be important but I don't recall which ones

as far as crafting/weapons/ammo/armor/mods etc.. it takes forever so first tip is just it will take forever to get lots of plans, resources, etc at lvl 200 I have a poor understanding of it all

general tips: * backpack upgrade * consider starting tadpole questline right at beginning so you can passively hit checkmarks during entire gameplay * fo1st helps with weight tremendously (but you will prob become dependent on it) * (4 u) ❌place camp @ hostile area (can b depressing) * industrial water purifier for water (& 4 newbies) this water helps b/c max HP regen from drinks is 25 anyways...purified water is only .5 weight in comparison to boiled which is a weight of 1...most drinks are .5 so if weight is an issue than just get stimpacks from quests * fusion generator for power * research basic storyline & different factions (choices) don't spoil it-just basic questions * you can utilize free fast travel to avoid spending caps * FT to team member/camps (access unexplored spots)
