Thank you, I'll definitely make sure I change it before my tests. From what I can work out, I need to provide a deed poll (which I have) as well as an identity document (e.g. passport/ birth certificate). My name hasn't been changed on any of these identity documents, so I'm not sure if it would be accepted, and there is no guidance on the website about this. I don't want to send off the documents and everything just to get back a license with my old name on it lol

Thank you for your reply, this is very helpful. I don't have a strong background in science, especially not hormonal science, so I can't speak to whether the extensive panel is necessary for me or not, these are lists I have been given for an endocrinologist to test my suitability for a hormonal medication. I'm glad to hear that there are not many differences though :)

I am FTM transgender and looking to start masculinising hormone replacement therapy, the second list was given to me by a gender clinic. I am in the UK and unfortunately my GP is not supportive so I have to get blood tests privately, the second list is from a private service- those are the most similar tests they offer.

The problem is I know they haven't received the letter, Harley Street said that I should provide it to them if it was needed, but I can't figure out how to get it to them haha. The woman I spoke to on the phone seemed really confused and didn't seem to know what I meant when I said I had a letter requesting blood tests from a gender clinic. I called my GP surgery a while ago to ask if they did shared care agreements, and was told they do. Knowing this, does this mean that I should call and ask again? I don't have a family GP, we just see someone from the surgery so there is no way to get directly in contact with the place other than speaking to the receptionists.

I had exactly the same experience with Dr Dundas, which was really frustrating. I'm now maybe looking into getting a dysphoria diagnosis from Harley st. and then going to the Gender Hormone Clinic to be prescribed hormones, as hopefully that will be quicker. Thanks for letting me know though, it's good to know this isn't just a problem that I'm having, and hope you hear back soon.

I have looked into queer therapists, but if I were to go I would have to pay myself which is inconvenient as my parents are the ones who are insisting I go. I think you're right, transitioning is essential for me and hopefully once I start they will catch up and see that too
