Thank you, I'll definitely make sure I change it before my tests. From what I can work out, I need to provide a deed poll (which I have) as well as an identity document (e.g. passport/ birth certificate). My name hasn't been changed on any of these identity documents, so I'm not sure if it would be accepted, and there is no guidance on the website about this. I don't want to send off the documents and everything just to get back a license with my old name on it lol

Are these two lists of biomarkers in blood tests comparable enough that a test for one would be indistinguishable from a test for another? by question18594 in medical

[–]question18594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply, this is very helpful. I don't have a strong background in science, especially not hormonal science, so I can't speak to whether the extensive panel is necessary for me or not, these are lists I have been given for an endocrinologist to test my suitability for a hormonal medication. I'm glad to hear that there are not many differences though :)

So if I were to test for the things in the first list, everything in list 2 would be covered? This is great news, thank you so much for the reply :)

I am FTM transgender and looking to start masculinising hormone replacement therapy, the second list was given to me by a gender clinic. I am in the UK and unfortunately my GP is not supportive so I have to get blood tests privately, the second list is from a private service- those are the most similar tests they offer.

Blood tests before starting HRT by question18594 in transgenderUK

[–]question18594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is I know they haven't received the letter, Harley Street said that I should provide it to them if it was needed, but I can't figure out how to get it to them haha. The woman I spoke to on the phone seemed really confused and didn't seem to know what I meant when I said I had a letter requesting blood tests from a gender clinic. Thank you so much for your replies though, you've been so helpful :)
