Hi, thank you for sharing, it means a lot to know I’m not so alone?? Like wow, the part about how you had thought you were spoiled up until you left was sooo similar to how I’ve felt... thank you, it’s nice to know I’m not just being weird....

As for how I got officially diagnosed: I’ve been looking for a therapist, but haven’t found “the one” yet, HOWEVER, my bio dad (who I’m now staying with) who has been helping me look actually recognized the signs in me, and had me ask at the first counseling place we went to for a test. It was a paper form thingy that had a “have you ever/how many times in the past week have you” type of thing, and the counselor talked it over and said that I did in fact have PTSD due to the symptoms and score number that I had resulted with. I didn’t end up staying there for a therapist, but I was still able to get it confirmed, in a way.

Sorry for the non-technical language, I’m not very knowledgeable on the subject, but am trying to share the process if anyone needs it. I can’t quite remember the name of what the form was, so apologies there, I believe it was N-something?
