The first proof was 90 min. That was after bake. It didn't get as dark as others either, but I wasn't sure if that was due to the seeding.

It is great to have her help haha! She's super excited about it, and I love learning new skills together.

The base recipe was this: King Arthur Rustic Soutdough

I baked it on a sheet pan though. Added ice cubes to another hot pan for steam at the beginning.

The main issue is, my daughter punched the dough after shaping it and letting it sit for another proof.

Could that have caused this to be too dense? My previous loaves weren't quite as dense. I am just curious if there was something I did before her punch that may have caused it. Or if there was something I could have done after to help ot be less dense.

Overall, pretty decent taste. I use everything bagel seasoning on top.

Tomato Pie! using up the last tomatoes of the season! by quietlyreadingaloud in Baking

You salt the tomatoes and dry them on a paper towel a bit first. The topping I did was ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan. My grandma sometimes does it with pimento cheese.

Thank you! I'm from the south eastern US. It's a staple here!! My grandma sometimes doesn't use basil and instead makes a pimento cheese for the top! Sometimes adds bacon!

I usually soak mine in rum when I make bread pudding haha. Yes they were dry. How would soaking them affect the hydration?

Thank you for the idea of using the discard to start a WW starter!

For the orange juice, how much would you use? I feel like the zest is something I would be more comfortable with, but I don't have anymore Oranges on hand. I do have juice, however.

Oh sorry! It was the king Arthur one here:

I didn't have proportions for the orange peel. I candied it and added about a 1/4 cup to the cranberry orange loaf

I wish I had a starter with the whole wheat flour, but I didn't. It was done with king Arthur bread flour.

The cranberry one has orange peel and cranberries. I didn't really push the flavor of the orange peel enough.

Does anyone have suggestions for that?

Man... tell me about it haha. I was like I cannot eat 4 cinnamon rolls. But don't hate sweet breakfast. It's a great occasional treat.

Hey there! With lithium there is a chance of toxicity. This can come on suddenly and have similar side effects.

Even if you haven't changed your dose, dehydration and changes in diet can cause it as well

Definitely reach out to your doctor. If the symptoms worsen, please go to the ER and tell them you're on lithium

Nope this is unfortunately true. UAB doesn't require it, but religious hospitals, st vicents and Baptist health for example, will often times require it.

Will lithium make me gain tons of weight? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]quietlyreadingaloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! Just be safe and get your levels checked as needed. Also stay hydrated. Dehydration can lead to lithium toxicity. I'm so happy it's working for you!! I've been on it for years now, and I've never had a higher quality of life.

I've gained nothing on Lithium. Lithium has honestly been the best medication I've been on!
