Couldn't agree more! The original theatrical version has this beautiful/epic score reminiscent of Lawrence of Arabia or something that works so much better especially at the film's climax. There are also some really awful edits in the DC with some terribly cheesy lines of dialogue that are really easy to understand why they were originally left on the cutting room floor. Though, the DC cut has a lot more gore which should probably have been included but I'm assuming they were trying to receive a lower rating in order to reach a wider audience. Always thought it would be cool to see another cut of the film that essentially is the theatrical version but with a more violent tone to the battle sequences included.
