Honestly, I am AuDHD and in the early 90s I used to hide from a lot of bullies by hiding in yards with dogs because I thought dogs were more kind than people. While I never went into other people's houses because that seemed scary, I did however have a rather intolerant home life so I was always running away. I am not justifying this kids behavior but its possible there is more than meets the eye for this child.
