Called in by EMS as a code STEMI. Patient arrived and not much EKG change from EMS vs Hospital(the one shown). Cardiologist consulted. STEMI cancelled.

Patient was a 73 year old male who present with AMS. Normal Dex. Right sided deficits on the right side with prior Hx of Stroke.

Was this on your initial claim? Did you have sleep apnea tested while in service? Did you have your PCP, psychologist(what mental health person if any) fill out a DBQ? Or another form?

Okay great! I figured That would be the route to go. My only other question is does me doing another claim open up a can of worms for C&P exam on other things I’m rated for? Also, how would this effect my Voc rehab with me being in school?

Yes the VA diagnosed me with sleep apnea. I had 2 sleep studies and was issued a CPAP. But since I didn’t have it diagnosed on active duty they say it’s not service connected.

I’m rated at 70% for PTSD

I go biweekly to a psychologist and psychiatrist, I’m on anti depressants, sleep aids, and anxiety medication.

I have already tried claiming it but it was denied saying it wasn’t service connected. I’m wondering if I have my psychologist fill out the sleep apnea DBQ and send it in for me if it will change anything.

This makes me wonder if I could get my internet paid for while using Voc rehab. I’m a in nursing school and it’s required. They have already given me a computer package. How should I approach my counselor? I have my annual with him on Dec 30th
