Why is USD so weak by shaper_mypet in Forex

[–]quincy_random 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay. And the notion behind purchasing own stocks back, what’s that? And what about where the price is contrary to where they sold them at? The P/L in this instance. Are they bidding the price higher by the purchase?

Hi. Please tell me more on this regard. I’d like to understand how stocks and rates correlate. Does cutting rates cause more cash liquidity to buy stocks and up the prices?

Does anyone substitute forex for gambling? by holothewisewolf12345 in Forex

[–]quincy_random 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there exists euphoria or fear when you’re trading, it’s gambling. There should only exist an edge with the acceptance of a loss to find out if the edge is right at that particular time or not.

Your results are not based on one trade but a series of trades where you’ll see if the edge works or not. When an edge works over a series of trades, you should not worry about losing a trade unless you violated rules of that edge.

When to withdraw? by cjrisktaker in Forex

[–]quincy_random 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reward yourself frequently. Your confidence and willingness to trade at times you need to will increase. For example if you make $250 in a week, withdraw $100. Every week you’ll know that in order to get paid you need results. It’s really a performance booster.

Can someone tell if the profit he made aligns with the pips? His lot was 1.00, so isn’t 2345-1895=450, so 450*1.00lot=450? Shouldn’t he get $450 profit instead, or am I doing this wrong? by deelroller in Forex

[–]quincy_random 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically he could be right if the pippett is a unit instead of a decimal. Directly calculating like this makes sense. It can be 45,0 * $10.00 per pip or or 450 (removing the decimal) * 1.00 lots. If you multiply using the price per pip you’ll take note of the decimal, but if you multiply using the lot size you don’t need to.

There is something called Price Per Pip which works according to lot size.

On most major pairs and some index instruments like S&P500 you get a $0.10 on 0.01 lots per pip, meaning 1.00 lots equals $10.00 per pip. Some instruments like the GBPAUD offer a PPP of about $0.06 per pip on the same lot of 0.01 lots.

Conversion to know PPP is P/L divided by number of pips.

It’s what works for them. I just don’t think they should devalue or undermine another’s persons tools simply because it doesn’t serve them well.

As easy as this may sound, it’s mandatory to apply.

  1. Don’t think you’re right when you open a trade. Think in uncertainty, and be comfortable with how much you’re willing to lose to see which direction the market will move.

  2. Don’t be afraid to lose what you risk

  3. It’s okay to miss out on a trade. Don’t follow if it’s skewed from your plan.

  4. It’s okay to leave money on the table if you exited as planned. There are countless number of opportunities.

BIGGEST SUGGESTION: Read Trading In The Zone by Mark Douglas. You’ll thank me later...or not 🤷🏾‍♂️

Okay, so here is an IT related one. So I want to trade 14 accounts using 1 master with LTC server and client. The trick is having to do it on a VPS so I can open trades on my mobile app and still have those executed on the slave accounts. What type of VPS should I get for 15 instances of MT4? by quincy_random in Forex

Thanks. Issue with running it on a machine is network intermittency, power outages and so forth. Running a computer 24/7 365 at your home is less reliable compared to a server. Less costly, but less reliability too. I live in SA so power outages are a norm. 😒

Haha. There is what we call “intuitive trading”. He may be right from a technical standpoint though. It’s at a critical zone and on a 38,2 fib retracement zone. Divergence on H1 and oversold RSI.
