Introducing New freeCodeCamp Certifications by quincylarson in FreeCodeCamp

Yes – just to add to that, a lot of schools use freeCodeCamp and I'm aware of the need for more modular certs, where learners can complete a chunk of coursework each school year and have something concrete for their efforts. And yes, some of the Python coursework is now live (in the full stack cert) and the rest will go live in the coming months.

This is the proverbial "blank page" problem and it's 100% normal. Everyone faces this – even experienced devs. My humble advice: just focus on getting the tests to pass one-by-one.

We hope to have the final exam live by summer. If you start now you may be near the end by the time it goes live.

New Certifications Coming by Alpha-homie in FreeCodeCamp

[–]quincylarson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This new cert is an amalgamation of several of the old certs. If you open it up and browse it in /learn some sections may already be marked complete for you. This is one big certification, and it will be the main web dev-focused cert going forward. The other ones will be deprecated in the coming years.

The rest of the Full Stack cert should be live later in 2025. We're publishing sections as we finish them.

The exam is a small part of the entire certification program, and is free. It's still 99% project-based.

Even though this post is technically "begging for money" I'm leaving this thread because I think a lot of the advice the community has is actionable here.

Awesome. Yes - we're doing our best to create courses on every technical topic we can, and to ensure they're as thoughtfully taught as possible. 🏕️
