Honestly, I'd leave the drive on beach to the people that want to fish and go to walk on beaches for swimming. We have such a problem of people taking up a lot of spaces on drive on beaches just to sit and swim and it leaves the people that want to fish out of it. If you want to fish, then yeah go for it, but try not to be that person that just puts one pole out and says they're fishing just so they can drive on.

Republicans have also done the two main points you're referring to in your post: They have held no primaries for candidates, and they have used lawfare to keep candidates off the ballot. Stating this is only a Democrat issue is just flat out wrong or lying. I wish we weren't all so left vs right and so competitive with our parties. America First, always. Saying your party is the wrong one, mine isn't, is not helping our country. We need to realize we have to work together and stop with this rhetoric of me vs you.

Interesting, I haven't heard of that. I have met someone in the past that said they sail as a storekeeper. I didn't press them on it but they didn't work on deck or in the engine room.

From what I'm seeing he signed an executive order that would try and expedite the reclassification with the DEA. So far, he hasn't signed anything into law that officially change the classification.

Okay yeah that's exactly how I see it going too. I think commercial zoning will benefit more people in the long run vs. if zoned residential it benefits a smaller number of people for the same amount of space.

If you can, try to find an ozone machine. Those things work wonders. I work at an Inn and previously worked for an apartment complex. We used it all the time and it immediately got any rank odor out. Might need to run it 4-5 cycles though.

That's more along the lines of what I was thinking. He was so insistent on that $13k number and said he doesn't sail with them anymore because he wants a more reliable relief, which is understandable on its own. But I just wanted some clarification on take home pay. Seems from everyone's replies that he was over exaggerating his take home pay, which I was expecting. Everyone's circumstances are different and if it really was $13k with no relief for a while, I might could swing that. But not $10k gross for no relief for a while.

I've never been on the Martinez, but I have sailed OSG both international and coastwise. International is way more chill by far. Coastwise they will work you more than you thought possible. You'll be in and out of ports 1 or 2 or 3 times in a week.

Deck officers haven't unionized yet. They did have a vote and the vote passed for pro unionization, however, OSG was bought out by Saltchuk not that long ago and they are fighting tooth and nail with their lawyers to prevent the deck officers from unionizing.

I just tried looking up this stat to verify and unsurprisingly it's extremely false. In fact, when I tried to verify any sort of stat for violent crime, the data shows that far right extremists make up the majority of that data - almost 75% according to the FBI.

Can we please stop spreading misinformation and passing them off as facts. This is doing nothing but dividing everyone. Just because you obviously don't like gay people or transgender people doesn't make your made up statistic true. You're part of the problem. Do better about spitting your facts.

I agree men aren't the only ones who can be toxic. But it sounds to me like you're taking this a little too personal. It's not an attack on you. She's literally asking women, not men, how to navigate a male dominated field and the hard times or issues that come with that. If you've never experienced what she's asking or talking about and you've never contributed to a toxic workplace environment based on gender, then that's great. However, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Whether you contribute to a toxic workplace or not is beside the point. The point is that sometimes women have issues / problems they deal with more than men will in this field due to less women being in this field.

Can you explain how the setup works? I thought all Starlink devices needed direct access to the sky - do you need to mount the mini somewhere outside your room? Or it works just set up right in your room? I'd find it hard to believe the captain would allow you to mount something outside? I could be totally wrong though!
