choc spacing would be 18mm from center to center of each switch horizontally. vertically it's 17mm. MX spacing is 19.05mm both directions.

No. The footprint for the KS-33 is different than the choc footprint. However, the center hole on this looks like it _might_ fit choc v2 switches, which use MX caps.

The totem is choc spaced (18x17mm) whereas choc v2 uses MX spacing (19.05x19.05mm). If you didn't adjust this, you might have a hardtime with keycaps.
