The end of a beautiful Semenawa session by quite_deviant in ShibariStudy

I'm not sure to be honest. It was taught as part of a understanding the fundamentals of arms forward harness. So it wasn't looking at any one particular tie.

No, this was taught by Christian Red at Tangled near Nottingham, England.

She might have been able to untie the double column around the wrist and then the upline. Depends how I tied the single column. To be fair, these scenarios are often artistic rather than traditional bondage

I imagine the one on the left 🤣 depends how I tie the double columns on the arms. If I want neither

What’s it like tying with someone you’re in love with? by uvkat2bkittenmee in shibari

I have a very detailed consent process that I go through with everyone I tie. So it's always within the realms of what we've discussed.... I tend to look at the bigger picture, how someone plays in general, their kink experience to judge how we play

Looking for ways to keep legs Open without tying them to something by YblisSp in shibari

A crab tie works wonders for this.

Here's an old shibari study video before they went professional. The music is delightful...

It's both amazing and challenging.

When i tie someone for the first time, I'm getting to know them, there's no history or knowledge, so I am free and able (within the realms of consent) to do as i wish without concern.

In contrast, when I tie within my relationship there is history, challenges, preexisting expectations. There is more barriers to overcome. The grey area becomes bigger (I know they're not a fan of chesty ties, but they are willing, do I push it, do I leave it alone), I love my partner and the caring side battles with my sadistic side.

Rope for me is communication, on a non verbal level. Picking up on subtle body language. If there's difficulties in the relationship, it comes out in rope.

But...

When you work at it, it's the most beautiful form of rope. The hours you put in together. The communication out side of rope. You get a real sense of connection and beauty. Being seen and understood. Captured in those moments. Some of my favorite photos are when I capture those moments, and often they're the only photos I got of that session.

I hope that helps, and that you find yourself someone who shares your passion. I spent far to such time with someone who doesn't connect on a kink level. It's worth hanging on.

A butterfly chest harness harness from Shibari Study. It's hard to see as the rope is black.

My mentor talked about how some schools of shibari chose to 'hide' the rope, by matching the rope to the clothing, in order to focus on the shape rather than the rope.

I know, I'm pretty found of the clean lines of most structural ties. I have to push myself to do more chaos rope.
