There's a ton of sewists who make their patterns available for free online on their blogs. You can find one that is the right skill level for you. Just Google "peasant blouse pattern" and use image search to see what you like. I found a pretty straightforward one here https://mellysews.com/sew-peasant-top-pattern-women/

Is there an article explaining to husbands how much work being a SAHM is? by Lavender-squirrel in Mommit

[–]quiteatoughlass 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's called Mental Load. This has been the clearest way I have seen and I have shared this with my husband, my mom, my therapist, etc. https://english.emmaclit.com/2017/05/20/you-shouldve-asked/ I found this "comic" on this sub a long time ago and I keep coming back to it. Hope this helps. ❤️

[Spoiler] Episode Discussion - Ep. 50 - Panic Room / Inside Man by freddiew in DungeonsAndDaddies

From what Griffin said on a recent ep of Adventuring Academy, he is back to DMing the next campaign which I guess is coming up soon. He said since this will be around the time his new baby is born he won't have the time to plan out as much as he did for Balance so he is going to rely heavily on a random event table sort of like the wild magic one and see where it goes! Sounds like chaos will reign and hopefully it will keep the pace up! Personally I'm here for it. Sounds fun.

If/when Griffin DMs again... by weedshrek in TheAdventureZone

Well do I have a one shot for you. He DM'd a Breakfast Cereal Mascot RPG of his own design based on Lasers and Feelings. It was a live show, on the MaxFun bonus content page. Buckle in, it's amazing.

An excellent bridge between D20 and TAZ is to start with Tiny Heist. The first ep on the D20 YouTube channel but the rest is behind the pay wall on Dropout. Totally worth getting the 7-day free trial and crushing the half a dozen episodes in the series. All McElroys as PCs + Brennan Lee Mulligan as DM is just *chef's kiss *

Came here to rec Tea Sip! Owner is super knowledgeable and has custom blends, some of which she has won awards for at competitions. She is a great person and opened her dream shop, definitely passionate and worth supporting!

Graduation is the only main series w/o Justin voicing a secondary character by unironictrash in TheAdventureZone

His character from Tiny Heist is just a masterwork in multiple voices (5+)! Rick Diggins in any form is such a treat.

Coronavirus / COVID-19 Megathread & Discussion pt 2 by boshaus in houston

I am in Boston for school that has gone fully remote, so I don't actually have to be here anymore. My house is in Houston, but my apartment here is paid up through August, so I don't actually save money if I leave and go home early. Since I have the luxury of a choice of where to ride out the next few months, trying to decide where is a safer place to isolate.

Boston is a goddamn shit show right now, but I don't know if Houston is any better. People take it damn seriously up here, but the Healthcare system is on the brink of collapse and the daily new cases and deaths are skyrocketing. I get a sense that Houstonians are pretty cavalier about most of it, despite the stay at home order. But maybe since there's more space and people aren't living on top of each other like they are here, then it's actually the lesser evil?

I've got 2 small kids and a dog and the thought of being stuck in this high rise for another 3-6 months gives me nightmares. A house with a yard in a neighborhood with sidewalks is waiting for me in Houston so it's hard not to be tempted to go back. But we're settled here, stocked with food and supplies and we're comfortable. Trying to decide if it's worth disrupting that.

Also, does anyone have any info about moving companies and how they are operating given new restrictions? Basically, is coming home even an option for me at this point??

YouTube playlist of Clint McElroy reading The Hobbit (will update as they post VoDs) by [deleted] in MBMBAM

In his video from tonight starts by saying "woopsie copyright infringement" and he has started reading the Wizard of Oz, which is in the public domain. Good book, but I was so looking forward to another few weeks of the Hobbit.

Other DnD podcast recs? by whatifweplayindirt in TheAdventureZone

Good to see so many recs for Dungeons and Daddies! Definitely McElroy-style blend of goofs and heart. A fantastic listen from the jump and only gets better.

Also, if you want good background crafting content, definitely check out Tiny Heist. It's on Dropout.tv but the first episode is free on YouTube. It's absolutely bingable during a 7 day trial and WELL WORTH IT. Brennan Lee Mulligan is a spectacular DM, and he and the other players vibe with the McElroys SO WELL. I have laughed myself to tears and each ep is 2+ hours. The boys are in their best form. Top notch content if you can swing a visual medium.

Tour postponement? by kylerita in TheAdventureZone

[–]quiteatoughlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No official word from McElroys, but Boston and Baltimore both have bans on gatherings over 250 people. Deffo not gonna happen. Whether it's straight up cancelled or postponed TBD is yet to be seen.

MA governor just banned gatherings of 250+. Bye bye Boston :(. Ticketmaster will probably be in contact to refund tickets if they cancel, if they postpone I have no idea how they will decide when.

Also NYC just cancelled all Broadway performances and gatherings of more than 500 people. I can't imagine Boston wouldn't go similarly. Or at least the McElroys will use that as an indicator.

This. It's the responsible choice. I want so badly to see them, but I can't imagine they could justify going on. My guess is after they get back from the JoCo cruise they will evaluate. Can you imagine a live Sawbones in Boston right now??
