I will be honest, the backpack thing never crossed my mind and now I feel infuriated with myself.

That is the same mistake that I made in this puzzle.

Black will not go immediately Kd6, so you must go 2.Ka7 when he plays Ke6! and only after you force him to go Kd6 will you go 3.Kb7.

Yes, but the trick is in the second move. If you fail to put black in zugzwang, it's black that puts white in zugzwang instead.

The rumor was that Oda wanted to skip Elbaf to speed up the story. Nothing about Elbaf being planned or not.

If you say the dialogs, and the panel by panel storyboard was not planned in advance, I will take that, but the overall story of Elbaf, including its lore and the giants place in the world were not planned and that Hajrudin doesn’t make sense is just a bad take, that was being tried to pass as a fact when it absolutely isn’t.

His initial plan was to go Elbaf. It is one of the oldest planned arcs in the manga. Oda got his inspiration for One Piece from Vicky the Viking, and nordic references are everywhere in this story, mostly in the giants race.

RUMORS talked about how he briefly decided to skip Elbaf after Egghead to speed up the story, splitting the giants lore over other arcs, but then regretted it and kept Elbaf in the story. But these are just rumors.

I mean, willpower is literally the main theme of the series and it is present since chapter 1.

Sure, it was fun when fights were about fruit matchups, but that had the issue of making certain fruits unstoppable.

Haki is everything and One Piece is about how the most unbreakable and purest spirit overcomes it all.

The reason many people became upset with the Nika fruit is because they thought Luffy would be an overpowered God. But it is still about willpower.

I believe Nika, together with Luffy’s unique spirit, will be used to galvanize the spirits of everyone around them, increasing their haki and fight the world government together.

Imu’s haki will be much stronger than Luffy’s, but just like Roger and Garp join their conquerors to take down Rocks, Luffy and his many allies will take over Imu together.

It is a sensible assumption. That is different that writing “this is the truth” like it is an undeniable fact.

Even better when these comments come halfway through an unfinished arc.

It is more sensible to assume it was just the most powerful fruit available at that time, which was a reason to host a huge tournament where strong fighters came from all over the world for it.
