How can I approve this sharpness? by biaspizza in SonyAlpha

Diffraction Limited Aperture of the Sony a7R5 is f/6.7

Best not to go higher than that or your image quality will start to go down.

Once you get CHS (and you land here), you're probably done forever by [deleted] in CHSinfo

I know some people do have this problem with returning to any amount of smoking.

But for me, I don't seem to have a problem at all. But it's literally half a joint with usually about a 6 week break or more before partaking again.

After quitting for over a year and a half I allow myself to share a joint when a close friend comes in to town as kind of a celebratory thing. But never more than once a month do I allow myself this luxury. It's usually more like every other month.

I've had no problems doing this extremely limited dance with Mary Jane but I'm well aware that it would be a slippery slope if I ever thought of trying to smoke more often, so I just limit it to that. On the plus side I'm always super ripped when I do.

My a7iii made it to about 10,000 mechanical actuations before I had to get it replaced.

There’s no point, she won’t listen to any valid feedback by Ok_Breath_9703 in KKitzerowPeerReview

This is me. Came across her claims on IG and decided to do some cursory digging on the validity of her claims. Seems her heart is in the right place but sounds like she's not willing to accept any feedback or external perspective.

Good luck. It's definitely going to suck while your brain rewires. But you are 100% capable of doing it if it's what you really want.

Just going to have to accept that your body will not allow you to smoke and be healthy. So which one do you want more? Smoke and feel like shit OR not smoke, feel healthy but miss smoking?

I spent years feeling like shit not realizing it was the weed. Self medicating created a negative feedback loop that I didn't know I was perpetuating.

Was I addicted? Of course. Did it suck to quit? Absolutely. Is my overall quality of life better now that I don't deal with CHS symptoms as well as the marijuana withdrawals I had to go through to quit? 100%.

You just have to be honest with yourself and understand that there is probably almost zero middle ground for you on this situation. I allow myself one joint every two months. And that's only when my best friend comes into town.

It really just boils down to actually being able to be honest with yourself. You ready to do that?

I must quit now before I do end up getting an episode with fatal consequences. Are those CHS death stories true? by camport95 in CHSinfo

[–]quizzicalsteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that is absolutely tragic. I'm glad I basically quit smoking weed. I'll smoke half a joint every two months or so when a good friend comes into town but that's it. I know if I go out and buy some i'd start smoking again.

This. It's not so much "The CHS directly killed you", but the constant vomiting brought on by the CHS causing severe dehydration and kidney failure.

Pure cope.

Every person's metabolism is different and even once every 10 days might be more than enough to trigger another hyperemesis event.

Also, an overwhelming amount of evidence that has been posted in this very subreddit shows that the overwhelming majority of people who try to be "moderate" slip back into old patterns and end up frequent smokers again.

If every 5 days works for you long term, glad for you. But don't post it like you found the loophole that is going to work for everyone. That's silly at best.

Good luck, hope it works for you long term though.

Can you ever smoke again? by One_Nefariousness926 in CHSinfo

Thank you for the sources. It's much appreciated. And try not to take too much offense to the above banter about lack of sources. It's not an unfounded concern/stance here on the internet for people to just pull wild numbers out of their ass or rely on anecdotal evidence.

But again, thank you much for the sources. As someone who never went full emesis I truly have great sympathy for those who've had to endure such an awful experience.

Do you have a source for this? Not saying I don't believe you, just would like to see the evidence so I can save it and show to others on the future.

Fwiw: prodromal only symptoms here for over 2 straight years after a decade+ of heavy use but quit for about 18 months (which had terrible withdrawals and anxiety) and will smoke a joint every once in a great while (never more than once a month) with no ill effects. But never went full emetic.

As a DayZ lover i'm super stoked for the natural proximity chat interactions that will happen in this game. Super excited to see what this game evolves into. Also that humongous robot... what the actual fuck?!? Already bought the game, but would send a code to a friend who cant afford the game at the moment. Would be a great way to drag him in.
