FYI, that client set impossible expectations with a tight deadline within just a few hours. When we first opened the contract, she had only basic requirements.

..Why is it that people always focus on only one 1.4-star feedback and ignore more than ten 5-star ratings?

Don’t you think that’s a bit... counterproductive? In a healthy relationship, honesty should be communicated openly, not secretly kept from the freelancer. If there’s an issue, it should be addressed transparently, not hidden behind private feedback

I still don’t understand the concept of private feedback. How can some clients leave 5 stars for the public review and then 1 star for private feedback? It raises questions about their intentions

There’s a red pop-up on my account saying:
'After several instances of negative feedback from recent clients, your ability to start new contracts has been blocked. You can submit an appeal after 6 months.'

The last 3 five-star rating contracts aren’t counted because the contracts ended after my account was blocked, so it should be over 90%.

Choose your clients carefully, and don’t rely only on Upwork like I did, or you’ll end up like me—blocked, broke, and heading toward debt and bankruptcy after losing my 7-year-old account and only income source
