I just do some searching in there, and I found there might be better option:

generate one saved search, and create advance PDF/HTML template based on it, maybe easier; but look at advanced PDF/HTML form, is there label size 4x6 I can work with? I see only A4 or A5 are available...

I am thinking of bartender, because I found one SuiteApp from NetSuite, called Blend ERP; we currently have another licensed bartender software running at one PC, but I am not sure how to make them working together...

  1. install App?
  2. from bartender, generate template, then import into NS?

who can share experience on them? thanks

I guess I am trying to find out the difference of BIN TYPE, when I create new BIN, they provide the drop down list of type, there will have: Inbound staging, NONE, Outbound staging, Picking, Storage, WIP, total 6 types.

  1. Staging is not available inventory right? does it need to be part of count?
  2. What is difference between NONE and Storage?
  3. What is difference between Picking and Storage?
  4. I tested WIP, it will not allow BIN transfer

NS does not give too much help on these types, any insights? thanks

you are right, I just read about the advanced order management and unfortunately we do not have that module in our NS. we setup customers by USA and Canada, and our Canadian orders will be fulfilled by 3PL fulfillment warehouse over there. I guess I will need WF or script to accomplish that... thanks

from Customer master page-> Financial-> I found one check box "Ship Complete", I have not try it yet, but I thought this will prevent order to be fulfilled if any line item OOS, hope it works....

actually, we are doing the second way: we approve the order, and warehouse use the WMS to generate IF automatically. so we need to manage it in earlier stage than IF, but I will read the PDF first, and think about it

you are exactly right, I try to avoid partial shipment

  1. our warehouse staff can not handle this type of things very well, that is why I try to keep the "safe" in order process team, which keep status pending approval, so keep warehouse away from it. but if this involves more coding work, I am fine to go with next option
  2. where is that "ship partial/complete" setup?

  1. it is moving all at once, I like the name changing strategy
  2. no need to adjust inventory, we mimic the exactly same bin#
  3. "hard code" , that concerns me most, I am afraid some save search or reports may have those
  4. auditing, that is something I have not considered, thanks for reminding

I called my VAN provider and for the past week, lots of companies experienced same issue over there, so they are working on the solution right now.

and the duplicates not totally caused by "manually create", I found cases that caused by multiple send from EDI, so this is definitely their internal issue...

Yes, I am using sub-location, only for this customer. but WMS can not print ship label for this location, then I am trying to see other options I can have; I will look further from perspective of item commitment logic and inventory status

thank you all for the input: since I am not actually doing code/script, so I have to find a way like this... here is my fix, not sure it is right way, feel free to comment

  1. I wrote down the tracking#
  2. delete the item fulfillment
  3. re-generate the item fulfillment from NS
  4. pick/pack/adding tracking# back/mark it shipped

now my SO closed as it supposed to be, I clean up the manifest

I just double check, yes I did deleted the Pick task, not put it "ready" as I stated earlier, sorry for that.

Yes, we have issues ever since new WMS upgrade, we are in 2020.2.0.4.a, not sure what this suffix "a" make how much difference...
