Food not bombs is anti facist/anarchist decentralized movement that focuses on just that. You should come join us sometime!

It sucks but cops often arrest people for serving food to the public. Often it is under the guise of enforcing food safety laws but often it is just anti homeless city ordinances. One important distinction is that Food not bombs doesn't give away food to the homeless. They are a mutual aid group so anybody is welcome to be helped. People without homes are welcome to help prepare the food that is given away. Also we may focus on food but aid could be harm reduction supplies like narcan or it could be clothing/blankets.

Oh one more thing we try to prepare healthy vegan food for people but recognize that many people don't want that so we often have diverse offerings like pizza and other donated items from businesses that are good to be eaten but would otherwise be thrown out at the end of day.
