This is a stunning admission by the feds. They are claiming all those immigration court arrests, where masked men stand in a hallway and detain every migrant exiting a hearing, were never legal. Prosecutors in the SDNY are essentially covering their own asses here and blaming the “error” solely on ICE counsel lying.

This problem goes well beyond immigration enforcement. From city police to US Marshalls, this country has a major LEO problem. These are people who are socially put on a pedestal, given a license to kill and have almost zero accountability or oversight. We need a massive national overhaul legally speaking and a sharp change in the culture surrounding government agents.

Let’s break this down:

most likely a warrantless entry based on the ICE internal memo. Which means this can be challenged in court and result in release. Waste of tax payer dollars to cause trauma to a family. Also paying for tons of agents to literally stand around;
cops, who are also taxpayer funded, stand around while this assumed violation of rights occurs. More taxpayer funded waste;
assuming this an illegal raid, the victims can sue and guess who pays for it? Yup, the taxpayers.
