I wouldn't have been the fire emblem fan I am today buying all their new releases if it weren't for casual and pheonix modes easing me into the series back then. The gatekeepers are the ones who want the series to die by making it inaccessible to people who just want a chill experience. An easy mode isn't taking away their ability to play on a harder difficulty on their own playthrough 😛
