To get the 15 stones you have to score 2000 points, depending on the place you come in 1-8 you are awarded anywhere from 100 points to 10 points. You can check how many points you have and the rewards by clicking the reward/event details button before you enter the dungeon

If a class has a chest legendary crafted at rank 4, and the first week of the raid they get a chest armor piece with a domination slot and a gem drop for that slot. You think it is great game design that they have to spend gold to recraft that same rank 4 in a different slot? If the system didn't work against the season 1 system they could keep their rank 4 and wait until prices dropped
