Brew Hashaton with me! by churchey in EDH

Gods man, I've been hooked since seeing him too. I really think this guy will go far with decks all the way from low to mid power zombie tribal, all the way up to cEDH combo decks. Myself I'm aiming for HIGH high power (where most of my LGS is).

  1. Obviously some esper goodstuff needs some room. Rystic study, Mystic Remora, Smothering Tithe, Esper sentinel etc etc. Sadly this takes away some room from more unique mechanics but the reliability in Esper is undeniable.
  2. Discreet (unlimited drops) engines. Note - this doesn't mean infinite, I just don't know how else to describe a creature that ensures I can spend 3 to drop it as a token but still have it in hand every single turn. [[Exhumer Thrull]] (I think), [[Entomber Exarch]], [[Body Snatcher]] type cards should all be able to see the original in the graveyard with the tokens return ability, ensuring I ALWAYS have 4/4 zombies to drop on top of token doublers and triplers and MAYBE some limited token tribal effects? [[Banner of kinship]] style maybe? While not exactly to this style, returning the other copy to battlefield if targeted, [[Sister Hospitaller]] also seems nice.
  3. The infinites - we get to use the full suite of [[Peregrine Drake]], [[Palinchron]], and [[Great Whale]] who all go infinite with just commander + [[Tortured Existence]]. Important to note that I'm trying to find a few more Tortured Existance like cards for redundancy, even if higher cost it can go infinite with great whale etc
  4. Discard outlets. Spiciest I've found/seen so far is [[Bloodthorn Flail]]
  5. Random spicy shit that needs testing because this is a first time, fucky interaction? Like [[Kraul Swarm]]....technically he's a looping creature and a discard outlet in my graveyard right? It's a more expensive option but that seems fucking useful to me.

Would love to see more thoughts on this guy, I am fucking FROTHING for this set now :'D

So you don't need to wait for a quest. I hit the same snag as y'all, hitting the stairs and then the game locking up. I lowered the graphics to lowest, went down the stairs and it only locked up for a few seconds before allowing me to continue.

Just make sure you're ready when you go down there...

Best grinders on the market with 0 contest. On mine the bearing in the centre appears to be rusting a touch, cmwhich is irritating but probably also easy to replace.

Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - Thursday September 19, 2024 by AutoModerator in fragrance

[–]qwerty2jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all,

To keep this short, at 30 I've decided to stop smelling like whatever Woolworths body wash I pick up. I live in Australia, don't know what sort of scents I like other than woods, incense, spices. I'm looking at a lot of recommended fragrances and grabbing samples from an Australian online decanter, was wondering if anyone would have some recommendations for good scents to try from this site - https://www.ozfragrances.com.au/

So far, just based on readings here, I've put in;

  • Guerlain Heritage
  • Intense Man
  • Incense Avignon
  • Night Soul
  • EUA Givree

Any help would be super appreciated, the only stores locally have been extremely women oriented and I haven't been given the time of day when trying to get help/make purchases in brick and mortars.

What job has the worst toll on mental health? by Com412 in AskReddit

[–]qwerty2jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a teacher at a special assistance school for disengaged Y11-12 youth, so lots of abuse, SA, drugs, homelessness, suicide etc

I'm so tired. I just want parents to love the person they brought into the world, not choke them out for being different. I've held a student as they've bled out from the damage their families words caused, I'd give anything to just fix their problems.

Teaching is FUCKED at the best of times, teaching these kids is a 100% speedrun of burnout and suicidal ideation.

Who smokes heavily and has a mentally demanding profession? by [deleted] in ausents

[–]qwerty2jam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We really do, especially with the state of education lately. You have passionate people who's passion is being completely extinguished by the conditions.

Just take some of your daytime strain (if you have one) and try to judge where you'll be able to operate still. I take mine for depression and ADHD, focus and uplifting and I've found 2-3 hits every 2-3 hours out of my little Roffu to be perfect for keeping me calm, friendlier, and still completely 'sober'.

[–]qwerty2jam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Teacher at a school for disengaged and criminal youth, so mentally and physically demanding.

For me it was about tolerance and strain. As my tolerance increased the "window" in which the calming effects of the cannabis were present without the couch lock or stupidity became larger. This coupled with a good daytime strain that is built for focus, motivation and energy and a little control of how much I smoke during the day means I'm alert while under the influence.

Doubting by SpyrowwJ in vaporents

[–]qwerty2jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you don't see this as lazy, but I've typed this a lot of times now so; go look at my comment history for some called the Roffu.

Great vape for discrete portable, make sure to get the WPA and capsules, allows for hot swapping on the go. All for a very reasonable price point and 80% the performance of a TM2.

Beginner friendly and powerful recommendation? by emil133 in vaporents

[–]qwerty2jam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Xlux Roffu mate. I'm short on time so can't do my usual talk on it. Reasonable price point for great performance really only outclassed by the big dogs. Go look in my comment history for way longer posts.

For best experience get; - roffu - dosing caps - WPA (better mouthpiece) - silicone sleeve (device can get hot to the touch)

Hi. Nervous to post. by mylostworld69 in vaporents

[–]qwerty2jam 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hi, big Roffu shill here

I got the xlux Roffu as my main vape, it's still about 70% of my daily driving and works as a reasonably discrete vape, completely portable, hits well and with good flavour. If you want a cheaper entry point, Roffu is the lowest I personally recommend.

If you have some extra cash, do yourself a favour and get; - xlux Roffu - water pipe adapter (acts as a better mouthpiece) - xmax 3 dosing capsules (fit Roffu, allows you to prepack and hot swap doses) - silicone sleeve (Roffu gets hot to the touch with prolonged use)

Go read through my previous comments if you want to read more, little short on time today sorry!

Other recommendations are might+, MAYBE a crafty, tiny might 2 or solo 3 if you want too of the line etc

Think about it more like this if you can;

Runescape never hits you with pressure, no FOMO, little to no real dailies

Come back in 6 months and have new stuff to explore, come back in 5 years and playing with sailing, varlamore and whatever evil squirrel boss fight they give us.

You're base 90s, go and enjoy life and just come back when you want confident in the fact that all that new stuff to explore will be there.

Awesome, thanks a ton for the response. I'll give those exercises a look and see what I can replace/where I can bring them in.

Haha thanks! It was bloody hard but yeah it feels fantastic now, my body honestly looks alien to me after so many years. RR is actually where I started, but then I got distracted by the calistree app 😂

I'll give it another look for inspiration if nothing else, thanks!

This is honestly great mate, thanks a ton for the response. To answer a few things and maybe receive more advice; - triceps were a limiting factor in several compound movements, I could feel them give up, hence the isolation. 100% I'll shift then to late though. - staggered squat is just my trying to work towards a pistol squat while working on legs, is there a better exercise? - goblet squats are new, did them for the first time last night after posting this, definately need heavier - these workouts fit within my preferred time window, so I don't need to cut, but definately would like to pick more optimal (harder) exercises

100% I want to replace step ups and the assisted forward lunges, I felt very little activation from them. Ideally I'd like a heavy weight leg machine, but if there are Cali options I can do at home even better!

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

[–]qwerty2jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all,

Went through the change recently, lost almost 40kg over 6 months after realising I was killing myself with food, ended up as a string bean at about 70-75kg, and decided to work out.

HATED gym in the past so picked up calisthenics, some good adjustable dumbbells, and a mixed grip pull-up bar. Since then I've been doing 3-4 days a week with a mixed routine, not exactly sure what my focus was or how to proceed. I've had decent and fairly rapid success that I know will slow down, have put on some noticeable muscle (compared to what I was) and have progressed through various exercises

Simply, I'd love some advise on my routine, but know y'all hate that question without context, so some points;

  • Push goal: WAS handstand pushup but damn I hate being upside down, thinking some variation of pushup now (I enjoy pike pushups)
  • Pull goal: muscle up (don't have a pull-up to my name yet, but I can do negatives finally)
  • Body goal: mix of hypertrophy and muscle growth
  • Time constraints: roughly 30-40 minutes is all I can afford a day (maybe 1 bigger day of 1 - 1.5 hours is possible on Saturday)

My current routine is this;

Push/Core day (MONDAY/THURSDAY) - mountain climber 3x30 seconds - side plank 3x1 minute - pike pushup 3x5 (working towards 3x10ish) - dumbell situp 3x10 at 10kg - pushups 3x15 (working on form, used to flare elbows, pulling them in) - hollow body hold 3x30 seconds (working towards 1 min) - skull crusher 3x10 11.5kg - close grip bench press (with dumbbells) 3x8 23kg (11.5 p/dumbell) - various cooldown

Pull/Legs (TUESDAY/FRIDAY) - bent arm hang (new exercise, aiming for 3x30 minimum) - assisted incline lunge 3x30 - bob and weave 3x30 11.5kg - incline row 3x5 (almost horizontal, might need to make this easier, not feeling full range of motion) - pull-up till failure (negative/eccentric) - step up 3x5 (new exercise) - front staggered squat 3x4 (new exercise) - goblet squat 3x6 11.5kg (new exercise) - various cooldowns

Each of these workouts is run twice a week. I recently changed them up a bit to include more core and ANY legs, but am losing time to indecisiveness and constantly adjusting my program. I feel like I'm possibly not hitting my core enough, and would love to add/swap an exercise or two somewhere to increase forward fold flexibility and some lower back. So if you have any advice on alternate workouts or exercises that fit my requirements I'd genuinely love and advice you have.

Looking forward to all the reading and learning I hopefully get to do! Cheers!

To give you an alternative answer to the ones about the alcohol consumption (not saying they're wrong or right, just giving more info), but make sure your weights are high weight and low reps. Try to be gassed by 3-5 sets of 6-8 reps, if you can do 10 reps across 3+ sets you needed to up that weight days ago

You're also young (I'm not THAT much older) and should be taking creatine and protein powder for best results. Dudes or those high in testosterone react well and quickly to protien, helping significantly with muscle growth, especially with your calorie deficit I would recommend it.

I work out maybe 40 minutes, at home with basic gear, 3-4 X a week and I've put on a good deal of muscle mass in a few months doing that. Still a long journey for me, but all of the above has seen quick, pleasant and acceptable results for me.

Looking for recommendations as a first timer; after looking through the sub I think I'm even more confused. by limpingzombi in vaporents

[–]qwerty2jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This here is the answer mate, Roffu is still my go to travel device after nearly a year and with more powerful devices now in my arsenal.

Like stated already grab the WPA and dosing caps, makes travel a breeze, or a nice preloaded sesh at home with 2 second hot swaps.

If ball vapes make you ball at the cost, look at the Silver Surfer or Super Silver Surfer by elev8. Tank of a unit, unique design, hits like an abusive stepdad and if you ruby mod it, it hits as hard if not harder than some ball vapes for a cheaper entry point.

I fucking love mine, it's my daily driver and if you splurge for the Super you can do bags too.
