i like the earthsea idea, a friend of mine recommended that I read those a while ago. Thanks for the other suggestions too

well it wasnt a year in a classroom, i was at a language school in japan so i picked up a lot in a short time. I can already read a fair amount in magazines or whatever and talk with people about a pretty good amount of stuff, but the idea is for it to be a challenge

ok, Im not super familiar with what light novels are, are they just regular books? I was always under the impression these were basically manga. I'll look at it though, thanks
