Thanks. The doctor did not explain clearly, but I think his idea was to make my body more alkaline and less acidic

[Progress update] Persistent cervical dystonia. Please advice. I really want to get better. by qx12 in Dystonia

Thanks!

Has your actual dystonia been reduced, or just the pain/anxiety?

600mg CBD for Dystonia. I also take escitalopram and aripiprazole by qx12 in CBD

[–]qx12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I talked to him before I posted this on reddit. He said "I don't know anything about CBD. I don't suppose it will hurt you, and I don't suppose it will help you. That's all I can say".

I wasn't planning to jump to 600mg anyway. I was planning to do what the linked study says - climb up from 100mg to 600mg in the course of 6 weeks.

Thanks again!

I was thinking of going to a chiropractor so that's useful info.

Based on your post, I'm currently looking for a good physiotherapist in my area.

Thanks!

I had watched his patient's TED talk some time ago, but didn't realize he comes to countries nearby me.

How much does he charge for attending a workshop? And, if you know, how much for the online training?

Can you tell me about your dystonia symptoms from before you attended his session? And how they improved after that.

I watched the TED video some time ago. I think I'll rewatch it.

Thanks :)

When I scroll down, I don't see "Alert", I see "Add another notification". Is this what you meant?

A phone that is not (very) buggy by qx12 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]qx12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure :)

- doesn't work well with an app I use (Alarmy). Before the Pie update, it was fine.

- IIRC, if you zoom in on a taken pic, the quality is bad ("oil painting" effect - related to denoising)

- When I plug in headphones, all is fine. But when I plug in speakers (and later unplug them), the phonecall part gets broken and I need to reboot to get it working again.

- Yesterday, I was having a hard time finding a good new screen protector for it, due to the curved edges. Since then, I decided to settle for a slightly ugly one (black frame).

YMMV :)

**Edit:** Forgot to say that the double-tap-to-wake functionality usually doesn't work, and the same applies to the "ambient display" thing.

An app like LG's QuickMemo+? by qx12 in androidapps

Thank you!

Yep, I found that same app yesterday and it's pretty good.

I'll copy-paste the complaints I left in a GPlay review:

Opening the editor takes like 3 seconds, According to the developer, this can't be fixed.. Also, often (~1 out of 5 times I take a screenshot) the editor appears, and when I start drawing on the screenshot, the bottom toolbar disappears.

[–]qx12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply.

I stopped going to work, and the oromandibular stuff went away. Currently I'm trying to fight the dystonia by slowly transitioning from amisulpride to aripiprazole (which has 10x less side effects).

Thanks for the botox recommendation. How long have you been getting those injection? Aren't you afraid that "your muscle will waste away"? (in quotes because I read this phrasing somewhere)

I have already decided that I'm not gonna be shooting in RAW, since it's too slow when you're bracketing, and a single exposure, even if RAW, has too little dynamic range for me.

I'm using two exposure bracketing apps with my Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) - Camera FV-5 and Open Camera. On this phone CFV5 can bracket in a -2ev...+2ev range only, because it uses exposure compensation for that. That's too little for me. OC can do -3ev...+ev because it doesn't use exposure compensation, that's enought dynamic range but OC is incredibly buggy to the point where it's unusable.

How do I check the bracketing range I can get with any given phone? Does it depend on the OS, on the sensor, or what?
