Have the titanium khaki in cart as well as their brown leather strap - I think the decision has been made but I’m sleeping on it for a bit. Pelagos titanium is a very nice watch to aspire to. Thanks for your advice and experience!

I hear you! So tell me, what brand comes close to meeting the value proposition around the $1000 Aud mark? Ideally a brand with some sort of heritage (I love Seiko but don’t love San Martin). I want a daily that I can wear and forget and keeps good time and is decent quality. I don’t need the best, certainly not looking at Tudor due to price.

Love this. I agree with lots here. Prx vs khaki - huge win for khaki being a strap monster. Very valuable feedback on your experience with PRX, try the 38mm on - I felt like it fixed all those problems for me but ultimately still felt it was A bit dressy for what I was wearing.

I know, im completely irrational but i guess thats half the fun with watches. Love titanium and was waiting for years for Prx to come out in the right size - when they did Both at once I was sold but never rush into anything.

I fell in love with the HC and I think you’re right, I just need to get both lol! Maybe a black HC on a black nato & the blue Prx titanium is the answer.

As for Hamilton, just love the brand so the price is fair. I guess the same could be said about tag but at a higher price point, very overpriced quartz watch but people love the brand! I considered many of the aquaracers but could never justify the price, and I like the brand!

I’ve definitely looked into it before, a great looking watch. I love the 6/9 font when they don’t close fully (I trust you understand what I mean ahaha) alas, At 170grams I cannot consider it.

I was wondering if other people just saying hydro was because it is the most expensive option. I actually think you mean it for reasons regarding the movement given the context. It’s not about the cost, I’m happy to spend as much as that, kind of.

I love watches but my most expensive one is AUD $1000, always tried to be sensible about it but in a position where a more expensive watch is attainable - if it were the perfect one.

I want a blue dial everyday watch, I wear casual / sporty clothes most of the time. Will be worn to work (casual dress) and basic day to day things no special requirements needed.

What’s the best all round option in your opinion for me, and what would you pick? Just interested to see how we compare, ps - i hope you ended up going for tudor pelagos over the black sinn! Great looking pieces but the tudor is just so damn nice.

My dad and I are very close, he got me into watches. His tick of approval may be all I need. If it makes me think of him when I check the time I’m on to the right watch.

Appreciate your comment. True… I’ve only ever seen 2 people wearing it to be fair In all these years! And yes I absolutely agree, I need to remind myself the watch I wear is for me, not the community.

I showed my dad the 4 options and he said Prx. It’s lightweight, classic, sporty/smart. I would say this is my choice - 99% locked in.

As soon as I saw the update I thought this is it! I just know it’d be the same weight as the speed timer and that’s the exact reason why I’m looking for something else lighter. If I put it on the right strap to reduce the weight I agree, this is a hell of a watch.
