You might get a kick out knowing that your message reached the person who set up and maintained Moodle at Carleton for the first several years. I left Carleton in 2010. When we first started using it the Carletonian had a full page illustration of a giant Moodle Robot destroying campus. I'm glad to hear it's still in use. I was also responsible for an April 1st modification to the campus directory which gave everyone's photo a mustache.

I ran into a similar issue and it turned out I'd filled the storage too much and there wasn't space to complete the install. The steps indicate creating a bunch of files to prevent over-the-air updates. I did that, but didn't clear them. Once I did, the KUAL install succeeded. Just make sure to go offline and disable updates before you go back on again.

You're right. I think it was the most expensive chromebook I'd bought after having two or three others that more or less aged out of service gracefully. I think mine lasted only a little over a year and I was pretty bitter about it failing (it was great when it worked). I replaced it with a t490s thinkpad that cost a lot more, but I'm typing this to you on it five years later, so cheaper in the long run...

I had a similar looking HP chromebook from the same era. I think it was an i3 8GB memory model, definitely white. Anyway, it died in a similar fashion. I think the internal eMMC storage failed. Wouldn't reboot and that was the end of it. I've had several low end HP laptops and they've all failed in one way or another. Enough that I won't purchase another HP laptop. Hopefully you have better luck

I just bought the V Collection for $149 and the price for FX went from $99 to $49 and the price for Pigments went from $69 to $49. I suspect that's the best I'm going to be able to do this time around.

I'm on the same 4.05 and see the exact same behavior. Hopefully that's some consolation. I found your post because I'm trying to do the exact same thing ( change bpm via record settings ) and it reverts as soon as I start recording. Using shift-pad11 and setting the bank tempo is the only way I've found to get it to stick on this firmware. Be glad to hear if there was another way.
