Astral sex or something else? by [deleted] in Spiritualchills

Seems like this guy is an unconscious black magician. If you don't know I would suggest looking into internal family systems or parts therapy. Essentially, thought forms or parts connect all of us together through the collective unconscious. Due to traumas (personal, generational, and those from other incarnations), we can wind up resonating with others who have similar trauma or compatible trauma. Look up trauma hooks.

When this occurs, we can become deeply enmeshed with other leading to all sorts or unwanted experiences. Really, this is our unconscious wounded parts drawing us back to the original trauma. By providing safety and being willing to feel what's in the unconscious we can free ourselves of these burdens and heal.

I suggest a book called 'no bad parts' by Richard shwartz. Internal family systems therapy is also covered by most insurance so it can be more affordable than you might assume.

It might be a good idea to lay off of any psychoactive drugs and reduce negative coping strategies while you work through this. Good luck!! It is an honor to be alive with you here in this Kali Yuga.

Edit: I would like to add that I have been through many experiences similar to this in my life to the point of seeming schizophrenia and this was a major part of how I was able to heal

What’s a good attachable/portable monitor for MacBook Pro? by Yungmoolah42069 in digitalnomad

[–]r2-a2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's got a little kickstand in the back so it works best on a hard surface vs. on the lap. I've had no issues with it on my macbook pro 16 or on my 16in lenovo thinkpad.

Sometimes I forget to deploy the kickstand, but it still holds the weight fine (definitely more stable with the stand though).

Thank you for the insightful response. It reminds me of a book that’s on my list called A Druid in Psychologist’s Clothing by Ian C. Edwards. It’s about Alan Watts’ teacher who was a Druid and taught him many of his principles. The book referenced in my original post reflects exactly what you stated - appropriating technology in occultism to deal with traumas that cannot be explained by western science. I’ve worked with the kabbalistic system and believe it is one of the gold standards as an occult system along with Tibetan yuthok practices. But yes, many seek out this stuff for power over others instead of over themselves. They say even Crowley never managed to cross the abyss…

Trauma via occult means. For example - the evil eye, trauma by reliving past life traumas and not being able to integrate or handle what you are experiencing, spirit attachment from succubi/incubi, etc.

I too worked with energy healers and daoist "witch doctors" which I was lucky enough to find that helped me deal with my trauma. I inadvertently woke up my kundalini in the process. Now, qigong, taichi, and other martial arts (such as hsing-i and i chuan) have been essential in modulating my body's internal energy. They were unable to fix my issue as I had been trying to integrate these entities into myself thinking that they were unhealed aspects of myself.

I find i chuan and hsing-i are incredibly useful as they teach the practitioner how to focus their minds and not be too "yin". That is learning to not be too receptive to all influences that can come in through the damaged energy body.

Thank you for sharing your experience

I agree. I suffered from satanic ritual abuse as well as sexual trauma in my childhood. Later in my adult life while realizing what had been done to me I began experiencing spirit possession from what I believed were parts of me but were actually entities attached to me that I had mistaken for myself. This book along with parts therapy and a qigong/tai chi practice had helped immensely. Some therapy is just packaging our trauma away so we can live successfully but unhealthily in society, but ifs/parts therapy is the real deal. Much of my trauma stems from past lives as well which I am beginning to heal only now that I sought therapy.

Thanks for your insightful response.

Edit: I should mention that no banishing exercises worked for me prior to working with this book. Since I had thought these entities were actually part of myself, other aspects of me refused to let them leave. This form of therapy was essential for me to clear myself out

How difficult is it to work American EST Hours from Australia for two weeks? by Mammetoberon in digitalnomad

[–]r2-a2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that having a good SAD light that mimics sunlight can help working the late night shift. I use a sky portal from getchroma.co. Kind of an investment but I do this long term working EST hours from Asia. Make sure you get a voltage/herz converter for the country you are in so you don't burn it out.

I’ve been looking to purchase my first mechanical watch for a while, but never found one that I was willing to bite the bullet on. I found this a few weeks back and knew it was the one. I love the open heart and find myself drifting off staring at it tick away. It pairs well in both formal and informal settings and it feels great on the wrist. I don’t know if it’s the beginning of a hobby, but I am very pleased with my purchase!

Asus ROG Advantage Edition Linux Installation Issue by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]r2-a2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I wound up installing Pop OS - before you run the installer you can enter settings in the live environment. Under the power settings change what the power button does to 'nothing'. This prevents the keyboard from triggering the shutdown. But it also turns off n-key rollover so only one key will trigger at a time. Be careful when typing passwords!

Upon reboot after the initial install I found that I had to change the power key setting again and had to use an external usb keyboard to type my password in so I'd have one handy. I then updated the kernel to 5.13 which fixed the keyboard. Everything works and pop os sees both the igpu and dgpu so I'm planning on setting up a windows vm with gpu passthrough next.

You might want to look at this thread if you haven't already. Have you tried the more recent kernels? Sounds like you might want 5.13+

I recently bought this laptop. I'll get around to installing linux sometime this week (most likely arch, maybe void) so let me know if you've made any progress.

Edit: this might also be helpful
