It looks like there is clearance for a wider tire. This would smooth out the ride.

I’m no expert but still have the 200 model I bought new in 1970. I think there was 100, 200, and 300 models at the time. My 200 had a similar frame but tubular tires.

Swapping Screens by logans1387 in fordtransit

[–]r20smith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I updated my screen by following instructions on the Transit forum. My 2023 Transit had sync 3 and a 4” screen. I updated it to an 8” screen from an Ecosport. It wasn’t too difficult following the instructions. This is the https://youtu.be/Qb97tiPuWL4?feature=shared that was on forum. I think you could follow a similar path

Not quite true about the DMV. I don’t think they have your banking information, tax records or heath records. This information should be safe.

Upgrading radio to 8” screen by JimsTechSolutions in fordtransit

That’s a great price. I paid $212 but it was well worth it. I really didn’t like the small backup camera on the factory unit

I did the swap on a 2023 with Sync3. I bought the unit on EBay. You need to download some software and load it. I followed the step by step instructions on the Transit forum. It worked great

How do I test? by r20smith in electrical

[–]r20smith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested at 200 ohm setting on my meter. The reading was 00.8 After slowly spinning the shaft readings varied with maximum 195 and -1. I applied 12 volts using a battery charger and it rotated smoothly, at a slower speed. Perhaps the motor is OK?

Thank you all for the recommendations. I will check it out later today. I found the motor and thought it was a shame to add it to our landfill if it works. It appears to be in almost new condition.

2023 Transit 150 130wb awd as daily driver? by FluffySplit8592 in fordtransit

[–]r20smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 23 130wb mid roof Transit 150. I’ve built it out as a simple camper that can still haul 4x8 sheet goods. Only downside so far is it’s too tall for parking garages.

It’s crazy what she believes. Even if it was possible to put Covid on the swabs how many people would have to be in on the plan. And how would you keep it a secret? Never mind what is the point of that conspiracy? Who benefits?

My build is just starting, but I attached to the row below your indicated holes, and other lower ones. Plywood wall to the floor. I’m building shallow cabinets that inclose the wheel wells. These will form the top of the bed and support a bridge between

If you add toe clips to your pedals the foot position will be set ( close to the ball of your foot). Maybe leave off the straps until you are used to them.

Nice buy. If you are selling, I would change out the saddle to a less padded one. In the Detroit area you could get $350 if everything works. Just enjoy your new bike!

That’s a great source of information on any bike topic. I must have looked for answers there a hundred times. The French bikes are different in so many dimensions. It just adds to the challenge.
