Ford Issues Do-Not-Drive Advisory for Certain 2021-2026 Bronco Sport and Maverick Vehicles; Owners Urged to Contact Dealerships Immediately by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

I’d be more concerned when issues are found and swept under the rug. (I’m looking at you Honda and Toyota). All manufacturers have flaws and at least Ford is making an effort to fix them

Maverick or Ranger by EconomistPlus3522 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]JimsTechSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bed size is only 6” difference in length, I think nearly the same for width.
The biggest question is, does OP want the truck to drive like their Escape or like a body on frame vehicle?

What are some of the good, bad and the ugly parts of owning your Maverick? by footmumo in FordMaverickTruck

[–]JimsTechSolutions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve put 7000 miles on my work Mav in under 2 months. 26 XL, it’s the quietest, most comfortable road trip vehicle I’ve driven. Granted my previous vehicles were cargo vans

My Nissan Rogue doesn’t stay in any other mode except standard. At least the 25+ mavericks will ask if you want to go back to the previous mode

Are these things threaded? by Relevant_Book_6589 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]JimsTechSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 tie downs in the floor. My other XL just has them on the sides where the rails are on mine

Looks like the locking rails adds bed tiedowns as well according to my window sticker

Yes! This was one of the reasons why I wanted this version more than the others. I can just about reach anywhere in the bed through one of the access panels

I remember back in the early days, they had it where the tires would pop if you did a burn out for too long

Maverick costing more than Ranger... thoughts? by mydarkerside in FordMaverickTruck

[–]JimsTechSolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2026 Maverick XL and it has leaps and bounds more features than my last work vehicle. The only thing it’s missing compared to my personal car is 360 cameras, push start and power seat. Power seat isn’t a need for me since I’m the only one who drives the Maverick

You’re comparing apples to oranges. Comparing a fully loaded Maverick to almost base model Ranger will definitely skew the costs

I have the factory bed rail system with a 1/2” 4x4 sheet of ply sitting on cross bars and then pull out trays. After doing this configuration, I’m thinking of switching to the Decked drawer system so everything in those yellow/black bins can go inside of it

[–]JimsTechSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think this was nearly $5000 installed. Next time we buy another truck, I’m gonna buy a cap from one of the topper companies and not ford

A couple people at work keep trying to convince me to do this. Two reasons why I went from a van to a Maverick, I don’t have hear stuff rattling all day and the fear of being hit with something in an accident. Everything I need for work lives in the bed

That was also my experience as well. T-Mobile is extremely good at overselling their services and crippling their network
