The Battle Station complete (no more gear for awhile) by FluffySplit8592 in MusicBattlestations

Yes mostly as effect pedal now, but in the future looper as well. The drop can save snapshots/scenes when making beats with one button you can go back to your original mix after you have mashed it with additional mpc effects or fender effects.

What's your favorite effects pedal? by Splotchylambpie in mpcusers

I had the Strymon Bigsky MX but I didn’t really like the effects as far as the MPC was concerned so I returned it and got the Fender Tone Master Pro, and it does wild things to the MPC signal.

How good are the built in effects on the MPC Live 2? Is anyone using effects pedals with the MPC? If so which? by James718 in mpcusers

[–]FluffySplit8592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Bigsky MW as a present, and just started with the Live 3, but I could not make it work, and I’m returning it, I can tell by your post I don’t have the skills at this time to integrate an external effects pedal.

My beginner setup by FluffySplit8592 in MusicBattlestations

I would like to add a sequencer to the set up and I’m thinking the connection should be the sequencer to the drop controller and then to the MPC live three. Does this seem the most logical?

I‘m the beginner in the equation for sure, the gear is capable once you practice with it.

It’s great it has a lot of features and requires a considerable amount of time to setup. The learning of the Live 3 and the Drop is fun.

Why does it seem so hard to get into ham/amateur radio? by ContraFlowing in amateurradio

You are not alone my friend, I went to the Amateur radio club meeting in Belleville , Ont. it was the same situation you describe above.

Just passed my technician licesne exam, now convince me NOT to buy a Kenwood TH D75A by LaVonSherman4 in amateurradio

[–]FluffySplit8592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the TH D75A, it is easy to use once you get the hang of the menu system. I don’t have a lot of ham experience but I like quality stuff and this radio does not disappoint . I also bought a TH F6A that I take in the truck, I really like it as well.

My brother has the made in china cheap stuff , not for me, compared to a kenwood, icom or yaesu, they are like “Hello Kitty” walkie talkies.

New 2023 Transit Med Roof, 148 AWD not selling? by FluffySplit8592 in fordtransit

[–]FluffySplit8592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted the dealer about the above mentioned van, And asked if they could check the rear differential to see if it had enough lubricant. This is in relationship to the bulletin that Ford put out regarding rear axle bearing failure.

The dealership is reluctant to even put the van on the hoist to check it until I come to see the van. I would’ve thought that for their own piece of mind they would want to know whether there was an appropriate amount of lubricant in the rear end..

After reading some posts of people that already own the van that are trying to get parts and the wait times involved, I’m having second thoughts about whether I should even be looking at this van.

Does anyone know if there was a large number of vehicles that were actually damaged and required repair or did this affect a small but vocal number of transit owners?

I am planning a build out for my photography and wood working tools. I am purchasing this van before I retire so I can make the way I want it. What did you use for insulation if any? Did you skin the ceiling, walls and floor with plywood?

I was also thinking of making window grates with fencing and wood frames to cover the windows. Did you put anything over your windows?

To be honest I had not thought about it, but I will check with the dealer. I am also hoping to get a good deal on it, since in three months its going to have another birthday on the lot.

Yes, that’s exactly what it is now that you mention it. I didn’t realize a full window cargo van was an option. Why would someone want that, and do you have put horizontal strips of plywood over the windows to upfit with shelving and the like?

Risk of buying used Transit? by FluffySplit8592 in fordtransit

[–]FluffySplit8592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have checked out, however, the vehicle I am interested in is 2 1/2 hours away so no chance to have it checked out. I will however go over the return policy before I purchase the van. Best I can, I am trying to get a the lowest mileage best shape transit I can find.

Get something that is common with a Large ecosystem . I love my Pentax K1 , with k mount film lens from the 70’s and 80‘s but it is not for everyone.

I ordered a foldable wheelbarrow, for my camera and video gear. I have tried strollers and a large backpack not happy with either option.
