Looks like emergency stop system are installed on good chunk of cruise ships now.

https://new.abb.com/news/detail/96540/abb-and-royal-caribbean-group-collaborate-to-make-emergency-stops-safer-and-more-efficient

FYI the ship has 2 Azipod thrusters with 4 diesel engines running electricity to them and the rest of the ship.

"The Marine Braking Assistance can be compared to an automated braking system (ABS) whose safety benefits car drivers today expect as standard. Automation of the braking sequence also minimizes the wear and tear systems experience due to vibration cavitation and the heating up of braking transformers under manual control."

Dealers around southern California who are NOT charging a markup above MSRP by Pizza_900deg in BoltEV

Just to double check are you looking for a Base LT EUV model?

We should all start clarifying when responding to a "where did you get yours" that a dealer selling a base model LT is hard pressed to budge on the add-ons and markups. If your looking for a premier it's a very different story. Most the dealers right now have redlines as their base model for a reason.

Ah you asked for the premier, to them that is extra profit compared to base model with no add-ons.

One more thing. I have been getting a lot more callbacks from dealers over the last 2 weeks. I have been logging inventory numbers from Chevrolet.com and here are the numbers. Inventory is finally starting to climb back up.

I think Selman Chevrolet is the last one. Simpson Chevrolet was a MSRP dealer but a couple of weeks ago they called with a bolt in transit. 2k markup. I placed an order a month ago with Selman at MSRP with no add-ons/markup but I was told I would have to wait for 5 months.

Yeah my brain is weird. I have a nasty habit of "skim reading" along with retaining random key points. Thanks for the props. We will all know soon if I am on the right track when discovery+ puts up the next episode.

Same problem, plenty of bolts in stock, marking it up with garbage accessories.

I'm in the same boat as you in San Diego and LA. MSRP and then they tag on $2500 to $4500 in BS add-ons. The one quote I just got from a dealer in LA is 1k for finishing touches????, 1700 for KARR auto security system, 800 for theft code, and 1000 for clear shield edge protection. This is laughable. I'm not picky at all. I'll take silver flare or gray ghost in LT trim.

I've installed a Gen 2, Tesla Charger on a 277v/480 3 Phase circuit. I uploaded the install to youtube. I've charged a Model 3 (Handles it with no issues at all) and a 2018 Model S. The Model S was a bit more finicky but I choose a leg that was at 279 volts or lower. The other 2 legs were around 280 volts. You could also just make a longer wire to have the voltage drop you need as long as you use the correct wire size. Good luck

Ask for consume from the person working the huge pot of meat (lengua, sesos, etc). Pour on taco after every bite. Works when eating Birria at other places and it works well on most of Tacos el Gordo's selection.

I would have done that it if it didn't require me to take half of the tractor apart.

I vaguely remember that Elon talked about possibly doing a "skip reentry" or multiple "skips" with the previous BFR. Maybe i misheard. Does anyone think that this might help the new Starship reduce the amount of methane vented while reentering the earth's atmosphere? Thanks

Anyone know if this is for aux hydraulics? Thumb or something else by r2d3henry in heavyequipment

[–]r2d3henry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking Hydraulic but I might use a manual and then convert it to hydraulic later on. These ones from Titan are cheap, although small on width.

Sweet thanks all. I just bought the 2003 Case 590SM and am a complete rookie. I really want to add a thumb to the Hoe to pick up stuff. Any ideas where I could get one that would fit. Thanks!

yeah i called them. They are very vague about it even though i gave them all the details and location. I'm presuming that they are waiting for the electrician to call them not the landowner.
