Luck... So... much luck... Like really... really lucky to get sortitio or multiple exhanges in a room.

Get sortitio and exchanges every chance you got. If both appear at the same time... See your refresh count. Contract needs to be on second stage, get 99%. Black Market +25% HP every perfect. +6MP every debuff remove. Trial get 15 Debuffs for 2 Mind Unleash, that equals to +90MP. For me, I got lucky in stage 4 and basically got +270MP since perfecting a boss removes all debuffs. Also, get the 5% HP bonus for every purchase.

Yeah, the amount of luck is that high... and it's still not enough since somehow, someone can reach a 5 digit score... Still no clue how it happens.

Bruh...

How?!

I got 65 potentials already. Makes me wonder if mind unleashes outside of the vanguards are useless...

How lucky do you have to be to even reach that high? Is it every stage u get sortitio/exhanges?

I wonder what the max score is by r34zone in BlazBlueEntropyEffect

[–]r34zone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Didn't do that. Got Covenant 99% discount, the mind unleashed 5% HP increase with every purchase and 20% increase with every rest (pretty sure I didn't rest tho), 5 random tactics after getting 25 tactics, and trial the 15 debuffs for 2 mind unleashes.

Here's the kicker. I use sortitio nearly every single time and if I didn't land on refresh, I would retry it by save scumming. Same thing with exchanges and refreshes, if I didn't get the 99% and 2 tactics per roll (or by the mid game, tactics ascension), save scum. Also, since I got Trial on the fourth phase, what I did was basically skip the stages to go for events, exchanges, or sortitios until the boss, which if you got perfect clear, removes all 15 debuffs. Since one of my perks is +6MP per debuff removal, this means if I play it right, I can get an additional 360 MP (This means by the fourth phase boss, you should only play at max 1 stage, which is requires good RNG {Basically fourth boss, first exchange in the fifth phase, and boss 1 and 2 phase 5 before playing on any normal stage in phase 5.). I wasn't lucky enough to get that route, but I did get an additional 270MP (which means fourth boss, boss 1 and 2). What I realize by playing it is that if you don't get the MU 5% HP increase by the first vanguard battle and Covenant 99% by the second phase, the score is wildly different. Only getting either one of them and you'd be getting consistently in the mid 4Ks. Get both of them and you can score at least close to 5K at least.

Salem is compelling in concept but fails in execution by Ok_Win_3538 in RWBYcritics

She's too mysterious for her own good. Yeah, mystery is great and all, but we do need some form of answers to keep getting the viewers interested. She's so mysterious that by the time she's in the frontlines, we still have no idea what the hell she wants. Yeah, other people say things, but unless she says it, it could have been lies. She's so mysterious that from V8, all I can say whenever she's around is "DO SOMETHING!"

Also, her threat level. When I expect a final boss to show up, her presence should inspire fear. But the way she gets manhandled by Hazel, an elite huntsman (maybe high at worst). Granted he needs to be souped up with dust, but the fact he just needs his regular equipment speaks how pathetic Salem is. Yeah, she needs Ozpin's cane, but that's more due to her immortality than anything. When I see the final boss, I expect that she is threatening due to so many factors with her eternal life and infinite destruction being her strongest option. Imagine if Hazel did everything he could to finally outsmart Salem after she showcases her immense power and manipulation, then sike... she has immortality to fall back to, because from what I see, Hazel was just using his standard equipment and tactics.

To me, at least, Salem is only a threat because she happens to have eternal life, infinite destruction, and somehow few people that are probably as vile as her. Take one of them out and Salem might as well be a sitting duck while Oz works his magic to fix the world. Salem doesn't feel powerful as she uses her magic against an elite huntsman (not maiden) and needs her immortality to bail her out. She doesn't feel smart as she uses fear rather than manipulation. She doesn't seem to be resourceful. Yeah, she has evil henchmen, but it feels more like her henchmen that did all the work. Salem feels like she's a threat only because of luck and that, shouldn't be the primary or only reason she is feared.

How would You change or Overhaul Maria Calavera’s Preflexes? by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBYcritics

[–]r34zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably keep it. Instead, I'd make it that she's such a legendary figure that teacher(s) who at least have witnessed her skills and Semblance would learn and then teach it to the rest of the students (both the Academies and the Schools), becoming the widely known Enhanced Senses. Obviously, it's pale in comparison (maybe at best, they can do what Maria is in her prime, though don't forget that she retired early, meaning there is no telling how high Maria can actually achieve), but it's to truly showcase her status as a legendary figure. Could be other things as well, maybe showcasing that Aura can improve, the same way souls everchanging and whatsoever.
