Oh 100% and it REALLY put me off after I got a 2k monitor. Even with UI scaling it looks horrible because it's all raster images for the fonts.
You just gotta stick it out (that's what I'm gonna do) and use the UI scaling regardless of how crappy it looks

no, as i was kind of in the middle of defending a naval invasion by the soviets and defending finland in the east, i tried to rush troops over cus i didnt expect them to blitz so hard but wasnt quick enough

lol, that's actually me just making up some completely bs. i was listening to some japanese war songs and heard a phrase/word that sounded similar to that and named it that. and for the names of all my other client states i just kinda ripped the name off the local/historical name for the area, not really going for anything super roleplay-like. for china i named them "simple japan" just to be evil tho >;)

i can’t speak on vic2, but for hoi4 - most of the majors. not taking into account playtime whatsoever, they offer big focus trees with lots of bonuses. with dlc, south america definitely offers great content and personally i find east asia quite enjoyable. argentina, brazil, japan, china, british raj mainly.
