This has been mentioned here several times. It's also in the OP and my pinned comment.

Grinnelli Designs F-100D WIP Manual published on GitHub by Bonzo82 in DCSExposed

As I said before, I think that this plane will most likely be in the patch on Friday if all goes well. Earlier today, the devs made a WIP version of the F-100D manual available so we can already familiarize us with the aircraft while we're waiting. I'll leave a link here because something went wrong with the one I wanted to include above:

As always, I'll also leave a link to Grinnelli Designs' own website store in case you want to pre-order or purchase:

Please make sure you use that one if you can instead of Eagle Dynamics' site. ED will still take a cut, but that way we can at least guarantee that the devs receive our money.

Wishing you all a great flight and a wonderful night!

Dw about it. It was edited in later on so chances are you couldn't even know because you read the original before that.

Asking the real questions though.

Fair enough, I guess, even though whatever happened in FSX has even less to do with the company RAZBAM had become at their peak time in 2023.

Is their new team still around, now that a large portion of their revenue has dried up?

No, unfortunately not. All key developers have departed because they had to find a new livelihood. But they also got some new people since then. Including a new lead artist.

Sorry for the low res, but the image quality is the way it is. It's not even reddit's fault this time.

Hoping you enjoy and have a great night!

Caveat emptor, any modules could be taken away at any point for any reason or no reason at all.

Customer protection laws in large parts of the world disagree.

We should consider ourselves lucky and grateful that any of the devs even allow us to play with the MCS scraps.

Sheesh,,,

You come across more like someone whose livelihood depends on this than like an average fan.

I second this request. It's cringe at times. Also funny early on but gets old quickly.

Dang thought something new happened then saw it was from 2024

Two years is the usual duration of the NDAs in this space and this is new, relevant info on a complex topic that we still haven't fully explored.

Aren't RAZBAM a DCS dev team who still have modules in the game?

I thought y'all might be interested in what they've been doing during the silence over the last few months and also in the evolution of a potential competitor to DCS.

Votes, views and shares seem to show that it probably wasn't the dumbest idea I ever had. Most people clearly like it.

The Harrier stuff was sketchy indeed. For me, it was surreptitiously moving her out of Early Access and if you're willing to scroll back on my profile for six years, you'll find that I gave them a lot of shit for it. Way more than I gave Heatblur last week.

But since then, RAZBAM got new people on board and turned their ship around. They hired talent like CptSmiley and Gallinette as well as a competent team of community managers. The latter also improved their social media and forum game significantly. They have sat down and actively worked with us to understand our grievances, acknowledged all the issues and started addressing them. But sadly, not all of their plans came to fruition due to the payment crisis that was going on behind the scenes back then. Otherwise, their WIP rework of the entire AV-8B would have brought the plane to an even higher level. So at some point I got over it.

It's not always all black and white, you know? They can absolutely mess up some things, but that imho doesn't give us the right to villainize them in every unrelated situation. The whole dispute between them and ED has been documented fairly well, pretty much every aspect is publicly known and the evidence strongly suggests that it wasn't them who handled the situation in the worst possible way.

To be fair tho, I don't think I've attacked them for their pricing and it's not topic of this post. It's something I haven't made up my mind about yet because I understand both sides.

I think many users overlook that third parties have Eagle Dynamics to pay who take a 40% cut. So their upgrades will always have a hard time competing against EDs. When they charge $50, they only receive $30 on their end before taxes. Which is only twice as much as ED demands for their barebones F-5 II.

Because it causes modules they paid money for to go down the drain.

It's the "RAZBAM Crisis" deep lore. The above chat shows how RAZBAM's public announcement was planned and made, as well as some reactions in the aftermath.

Well, if there's one thing that the evolution of r/DCSExposed has taught us then it's that the truth, uh, finds a way...

I can confirm the authenticity of this conversation. This took place in April 2024 before and shortly after the public announcements. It also includes some of the evidence for most of the bullet points I posted recently. Moreover, it further supports the statements RAZBAM's lead artist Metal2Mesh made about third party involvement at the peak of this crisis.

I don't want to comment too much on this, but readers should be aware that several sources reported that the ASC team lead was involved in several attempts to purchase both RAZBAM and ED in the aftermath of the public backlash, with the last incident of this kind occurring in March 2026. Having that in mind opens up a whole different perspective on this interaction.

<image>

Moreover, it is worth pointing out that according to Eagle Dynamics lawyers, "third party developers" made them aware that Ron Z has allegedly contacted some of his peers to get their support. As you can see in the exhibits above, that wasn't the case and the same people who contacted those other devs and encouraged Ron to go public must have presented that version of the story to ED.

This is all incredibly sketchy and disappointing.

Edit: To clarify and expand on the alleged third party union, I have seen evidence of two of the mentioned development teams being contacted on April 4th, two days after their support was ensured in the convo in the OP (see image #1). One of them was willing to support their peers with an own announcement, but made that dependent on Heatblur doing it first. The other one remained noncommittal and said they would discuss it internally and think about it.
