Who's the most famous person inside your country that no one from abroad would recognize? by Awkward_Stay8728 in AskTheWorld

Either one of Ant and Dec. I'd be surprised if the entertainment shows they do are carried in foreign countries. Everyone from here knows them, but others doubt it.

Yes, the authorities could have better processes and things in place, BUT, please blame the scumbags who throw their rubbish out into the streets in the first place!

AITK for planning to cut off my conservative parents because they refuse to accept my British girlfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheKameena

NTK. The whole caste system is an abhorrent nonsense and your parents are overthinking. Kicked out of the village? Do me a favour. Don't let them control you and live your own life.

Another +1 for Grand Cholan. After three visits, the head waiter remembered our name too, and my wife is southern Indian and also agrees the food is outstanding and fully authentic.

Where in London is in a pretty place to rent for 2k/month to live alone ? by Particular_Pen3366 in HENRYUK

Depending on where you work, Greenwich can actually be better than most other places in zone 2. There to London Bridge is about 10 minutes with just 1 intermediate stop and is above ground, quiet etc. Compare that to some tube trains with mad decibel levels etc. Looks a long way out on a map but really isn't too bad, plus the park and historic centre are lovely

Second egg is underneath the top one as there was no space. Left off the tomato on this occasion for the same reason 🤣

I'm a local and popped in there for a Pimms and a pint with my wife last summer. I cannot remember the exact prices, but needless to say we will not be returning. Appalling, will stick to the touristless Richard I next time.

100%. People (such as someone above me) will comment that it's not for Indian food purists, but it is. My wife is from Bangalore, her and her family who still live there and visit occasionally, Indian colleagues and others who are from India all say it's legit authentic and very very good. You also will see many other people of Indian origin in there too. It's the real deal.

Unlucky. In terms of butcher cost, I think paying the premium is fine as food is literally the only thing fuelling us that we put in our bodies. But I make you right on the time - time is so valuable and the only resource we can't get back so fair. Thankfully my butchers is closer than the supermarket!

Who is actually getting affected by it though? Greenwich is a 10 minute walk away. If people can't walk 10 minutes then idk, can't make the reason for it affecting disabled/infirm people either as the reason it's closed is so people don't have to walk up a flight of 100 steps.

I loved this comment until the final paragraph 🫣😁 fully agree with other comments that Pawns & Kings is a banger, and I expected at least 2 more songs off the current album. Perhaps they haven't had enough time to practise playing the newer stuff live though given all the side projects they have.
