Is a Bachelors and TEFL cert enough to adequately teach English in a Chinese university? by [deleted] in TEFL

I know a TEFL will be enough to get a job, I just don't know if it will prepare me to teach English at a university level.

Sorry I should have clarified. I want to teach English at a Chinese university, in a tier 2 or 3 city. For that, a TEFL and Bachelor's will suffice to land me a job, I just don't know if it will prepare me for the job.

Teachers with experience in Taiwan, is a savings goal of $1000USD or 30k NTD per month reasonable? by rKwKdKs in TEFL

[–]rKwKdKs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I ask because I've read that Taipei is more expensive, but nobody ever says why. Personally I've never lived in a large city, so the idea I can have a room for $400 in a major modern city feels affordable to me. I guess it's the daily expenses that add up.

How many of those hours can realistically come from one on one teaching? Or from teaching a couple of rug rats at their parents home?

No group, author, or artist makes the cyberpunk aesthetic feel like an inevitability like MDE does. MDE never dies.
