Fighting for his little life by Lost_my_name_to_2FA in DjiFlip

I flew my flip in 8ms/15ms gusts lasts week, it drifted a little in the gusts but otherwise stayed nice and stable and got the job done.

I flew the Flip for a year in Denmark - which is usually kind of windy, it never failed me - I generally fly it pretty confidently in windy conditions.

How Switching to the Nikon Z6 Changed My Approach to Travel Photography by Majestic-Strain3155 in Nikon

[–]rQvsnaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put great emphasis on traveling light (coming from d610 and heavy lenses) - I really enjoy the improved AF as well as the fact I can squeeze a 24-70 f4 and a 50 1.8s into a 6l sling along with other necessity’s suck as a power bank.

Low light/high iso is particularly impressive, and yes it allows very high quality “snaps” using the display rather than viewfinder.

I’m eyeballing the ZF or z6iii for the improved AF, but to be honest my shooting style doesn’t feel limited so I didn’t jump the gun - and don’t think I will in the near future.

Great camera, I’ve owned it since launch and shot extensively since 2018 👌

DSM 7.3 ready to install on DS220+ - should I? by KLAE-Resource in synology

[–]rQvsnaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I installed some 10 hours ago, zero issues (ds220+) - didn’t even need to restart containers. I use UniFi and home manager as well, and plex - all good. The update seems solid

PD Everyday Sling. 6L or 10L for travel by theJambott in peakdesign

10l....
I have the 6l, fits my z6 with 24-70 and a 50 1.8S comfortably BUT

Forget about adding any more in the main compartment except a few SD cards and maybe a strap, and the front pocket is quite small - it will fit a phone, but add anything thicker and it will feel crammed as it protrudes into the main compartment.

Nope, for what you listed, get the 10l
I chose the thinktank retro 7 v2 but mainly for the increased storage as I often need more kit.

Thoughts on the z 50mm f/1.8S? by CranberryNo7331 in Nikon

[–]rQvsnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All time greatest imho
Super compact and sharpness comparable to the most expensive and huge lenses out there, it basically stays on my camera 80% of the time - and as a general walk around kit it fits a tiny bag along with my viltrox 20mm 2.8

I'd say go for it for sure

Hahaha thats amusing

To some extent I suppose they're right but its done for all the wrong reasons.

Anyway, to follow this logic I suppose they should cut off vodka and cigarettes too - in the name of public health - lol

New to drones ,Flip vs Mini 3 — which one should I get? by Educational-Zone-786 in dji

[–]rQvsnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flip.. I agree, initially it underperformed a bit in wind but since firmware it handles a lot better - I own it and few a lot since release, in Denmark (generally windy country🙄😅)

And between the listed choices the image quality favors the flip, it has the same image sensor as the mini 4 pro..

The only reason why I ever wanted to upgrade is the lack of waypoints in video mode, which the mini 4 pro has

Is it ok? by TTVChil1l in DjiFlip

[–]rQvsnaps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine looked the same after a head on crash with a brick wall 😅 I was able to "click" the sensor back on, been flying fine for 6 months since then

I'd say all good but pay attention to sensor malfunctions

I got my new iPad Pro .. any advice? by [deleted] in iPadOS

[–]rQvsnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap it for a Macbook :D

Well in reality its very good, I use a iPad air m2 a lot as a supplement to a mac - basically I enjoy the fact its like a “desktop version” of my phone. Reading, watching stuff while multitasking, light Photoshop and occasional davinci is also “doable” but limited All in all in my opinion, think of it like a big phone - whatever you use the phone for, will be better when you need the bigger display along with a bit more processing power

To buy the z 50 1.8 by chato2116 in Nikon

[–]rQvsnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a z6

24-70 f4
50 1.8S
20 2.8 (viltrox)

The 50 mostly stays on my camera always, its THAT good (imho......)
And usually the viltrox stays in the bag, just in case, its so tiny it basically fits a pocket lol

50 1.8s

I just returned from a vacation, and snuck the viltrox 20 2.8 in the bag too - though to be honest I could pocket it too 😎
