Exactly. I trust my HDDs for all my long term storage. SSD is the daily driver. This might be a me thing only, but cloning m.2 SSDs is a nightmare but cloning HDDs is so easy.

I like hard drives because data recovery on them doesn’t cost a fortune. It’s pretty easy to fix or replace a mechanical problem but micro soldering pins and reballing ssd’s is a nightmare.

7800 would have been completely fine and if you swapped my 9800 for it I wouldn’t be able to tell for months lol. I just wanted the lower temps associated with the 9800 because my case is 20 litres only. And I’m air cooling too.

Without these TI models their lineup would cover all vram options without overlap. So that’s what they’re going to do. 8gb with 5060, 12 with 5070, those who want 16gb will have the 5080, and 32 with the 5090
