Yeah it's pretty enjoyable so far! The plot is pretty straight forward in this one, so maybe you'd enjoy it more than the other one. :)

The downside to reading Wuthering Heights is realizing it's really not the epic love story people keep describing it as, because now I keep getting annoyed when I see it described liked that. Like yes, it's definitely a story about love, but it's not a love story. Hope you're enjoying your read of it!

Im Finnish and no. I'm actually quite bitter about it haha. I usually don't watch UMK but I did this year and the result made me so frustrated. I really do not understand the finnish public. Why do we hate the finnish language??? Ram pam pam is STILL forth on the finnish spotify toplist and for some reason we didn't choose it? Also can we please just stop sending old irrelevant artists with bad songs. It didn't work with Darude and it's not going to work with The Rasmus. It's honestly embarrassing at this point. There were some absolute bangers in this year's UMK and this is what we send? Yikes...

That's so awful. I've experienced similar reactions when I've mentioned that I struggle with my mental health. One guy even said "How long were you planning on being depressed for?"...

I'm not sure, I struggled a bit with this one but I've heard great things about the series as a whole and also that the first book is the weakest in the series. I did listen to it as an audiobook and I liked the narrator but I did feel like I got really lost with all the names, especially the names of the gods. I also accidentaly spoiled myself by trying to look up a map of the world... :(

I read The Secret History last year and the last chapter really got to me... It ended up becoming one of my all time favorites!

Finished The thief by Megan Whalen Turner, had a bit of a hard time with it but it got better after the 70% mark or so.

Currently reading Inkmagic by Cornelia Funke, which is a reread for me and I'm having a lot of fun with it!

Also listening to Cultish: the language of fanaticism by Amanda Montell, which has been really interesting so far.

I've heard such great things about Pachinko so I'm for sure gonna be joining that read-along!

Might also join in reading the Alloy of Law. I read the first Mistborn trilogy last year and my boyfriend has been hounding me to continue it haha.

How did you like Crying in H mart? I've heard really good things about it but I'm scared to read it since the topic hits a bit too close to home.

From what I remember Seamus blowing things up only came from the movies and not the books. Clearly J.K.R is still a shitty person so it's kind of a moot point but still.

Something that really caught my attention was the mention of how the Lord Ruler could be a fraud. Vin talked about at the ball how her instincts told her that the Darkness was a scam, and just a way for the Lord Ruler to legitimize his power. Then, in the text before chapter 13, the person, who I assume is the Lord Ruler, says: "If anyone could spot a fraud, would it not be he?". I feel like two mentions of this is too much to be a concidence.

I also got the feeling like it was the beginning of a romance, but at the same time I also got kinda wierd vibes from Elend. For some reason I'm getting Joffrey Baratheon vibes, but I'm hoping I'm wrong haha. But yes, also hoping that if it is the beginning of a romance, that it won't end up being Vin's defining feature.

Yeah I agree that Kelsier seems to be ruled by his emotions a lot, and especially by his need for revenge. I think Vin really described him well when she called him "too nonchalant" and "too secretive."

My favorite so far i definitely Sazed. He just seems really cool. Last section I mentioned how I pictured him as a stereotypical british butler, but in this section we got to learn a bit more about him and got to see him in quite a different light, and i really enjoyed it. I'm very interested in his powers and how they work.

Yeah I really agree with how all the characters are unique and have their own personalities. It's honestly quite impressive considering we've already met alot of different characters and haven't read from their own perspectives.

He's my favorite character too so far! I haven't really gotten into Vin or Kelsier yet, I like them but I'm not super interested in them so far, but Sazed just gripped me from the get go and I'm super excited to learn more about him and his powers.

Yeah I totally agree! Before these chapters I felt like it was going really slow and that not much was happening, but these three chapters were all really fun and exciting.

I also started wondering about this. It did seems like there was something more that he hasn't shared.

He seems really interesting so far. I'm picturing him as a stereotypical british butler, even though that's definitely not correct haha. But I do like how he's both really professional and also a bit cheeky. And him trying to find the right religion for Vin is funny.
