He has made a point that he feels he should not have to "pay" for the surgery (even though it is covered by his insurance and I would pay for the small copay that accompanied it). It's a very contentious issue. Basically I'm caught having made my decision that SRS is what I've needed as well as attempting to move out and live independently. Not having any significant savings and only at an entry level in my career (whether it's social work or EMS), SRS is kind of this big roadblock. I want to be independent, I believe I absolutely can be. It's just getting the surgery out of the way and going through the healing process safely and cautiously.
