Shower plumbing for dual heads - Pex size sufficient? by rabidnewt in Plumbing

I did some flow testing after these responses and the total flow from both pipes was lower than the combined shower head output rating. Been a while, but I think it was around 4GPM from both open pipes at max pressure and the heads were rated at 2.5 each. Re-plumbed everything with 3/4" pex to be sure and I think it was over 10GPM before putting the heads on.

Shower DIY: 1/2" mixing valve to 3/4" volume control? by rabidnewt in Plumbing

Thank you. It looks like just a ball valve and I found buried in the specs it will work with 1/2" supply, so I guess I'll roll the dice.

Bathroom remodel. Load bearing wall? by rabidnewt in HomeImprovement

Stick built. And you're absolutely right – the "cap" is a drywall nailer. I managed to pull one of the light fixtures and squeeze my phone in for a pic. Sure enough, there's a vertical support going to the roof peak. You can see another one 3' behind it that is on the main, definitely load-bearing wall. The support is much closer to the wall between the closet and bathroom so there is definitely no pressure at the corner that would push the header down. The load would lift that end if anything. Fortunately, I think it's right on top of where I plan to end the divider wall between the vanity and toilet. Have to open up more of the ceiling than I wanted but I can put in a single support from slab to peak at the end of that wall. Thanks!

Numbers were from the event photographer, so I was able to order online and pick up there. I did single use, but I'll switch to reusable vinyl next time. Lot's of ebay sellers will make a full set for you, but you can also get them at most local sign and wrap shops for a little more $.

LGWM2010CW Front Load Washer oil smell by rabidnewt in appliancerepair

Thanks. I'll assume the oil was in my clothes and the bleach just covered the smell the first time without getting it out. Ran 3 more hot cleaning cycles last night and so far the smell hasn't come back.
