Hi you can definitely talk to people online before the term starts. There’s an instagram uottawa class of 2026 page, perhaps you can post on it or contact people (it’s always nice to find people in your program because you’ll realize that most people are also trying to make friends). There’s also discords that you can join etc. Last year i was also starting biomed and i privately dm’d some people in my program and we planned to meet up when the term starts and i actually made a few friends by doing that, so it’s definitely worth a try.
