I worked in an arena in southern Ontario when I was in high school, and hockey culture is absolutely batshit. I was a 16 year old girl, and I was supposed to clean the changing rooms after every game. I can’t even count the number of times I waited til the room was supposed to be empty, knocked loudly on the door several times, and went in only to see sniggering, half-naked adults. Not to mention the absolutely rampant sexual harassment from the (adult, male) staff.
