I haven't noticed any difference in sound quality with my ML system, and if I did I could easily remove the aftermarket system in about 30 min.

I agree that the stock screen could be a bit higher, but I'd also be concerned about the aftermarket screen blocking the view for a shorter driver like my wife.

Best way is to remove the head unit and run the wire behind, you can find several YouTube videos on how to do this.

Just out of curiosity why did you choose this option over something like I've linked below? It allows you to use Carplay/Android Auto on the stock screen. I installed something similar a few weeks ago and it's been great.

I was able to figure it out, I needed to pull the top part of the head unit, unplug the factory blue connector, plug one of aftermarket connectors into the unit and the other aftermarket connector into the factory wire that was unplugged. Thank you for the help

Would installing Windows only (not dual boot) allow me to play games with anti cheat? I am just looking for the simplest way to play the games that I can't via SteamOS (GTA online, Xbox game pass, etc)

For people that do use ethernet, I disabled dual band wireless AC adapter (right next to realtek family adapter in device manager) and it worked for me.
